By the way, I'm not the type of person that goes out of my way to write a review. But when I got a text message from the company that asked for my feedback, I couldn't resist. I've been a customer at Magic for a year already, but only for dry cleaning. They do a good job, are quick to return the clothes and are affordable... all good signs for when we needed a dress altered... or so I thought. I didn't think twice about it. When it came time to pickup the finished dress, it was stinging to me to hear the clerk, give me my total... $125 ?. Even more frustrating, when I asked for an explanation of how hemming a dress could lead to the exorbitant price stay charged, the explanation left me scratching my head even more... to be expected. There really is no way you can reach justifiable conclusion. For something so far from an expected price, I think Magic could have done a little more beforehand to give us some indication of the work necessary and the cost labor associated with it. After this experience, I certainly have no plans to return for any alterations whatsoever, afraid for what simple tailoring might do to my wallet when it comes time to pick up... and now I'm wondering if I should even return for my regular dry cleaning services.

If I could give these guys 7 stars I would!! They returned a $100 bill in my coat I didnt even know was there! They also properly warned me about the potential to destroy a very unique costume/cape.So first, the $100 bill. I will probably never make money taking clothes to the dry cleaner again but i did here! I have absolutely no clue how this happened, but Im guessing I was trying to hide some cash on a trip or was given cash at my cousins wedding. Anyway, turns out I left a $100 bill in my suit coat pocket. I got a call from them to come pick up the coat and was surprised with a little envelope... very confused I asked what this was and they said to look inside, and inside was the $100 bill! I was absolutely shocked. Just absolutely so professional and appreciative to have that returned. They did an absolutely amazing job on the suit coat and pants as well ! They looked immaculate! Now, this was after months before they warned me against destroying one of a kind piece of clothing. It had gotten wet during an event and after looking at it, they properly warned me that if I cleaned a very unique and special piece of clothing / costume that it would get destroyed. They told me exactly what would happened and professionally refused to accept money to try and clean it when they knew that they couldnt and would end up destroying it. I was desperate to clean this very unique piece of clothing and eventually found someone to try, who ended up destroying it exactly how they described.Long story short any time I am in or near Los Angeles, I am taking my clothes here and you should too. 100/5 stars ?

I came here with my daughter to get her dress hemmed for a school performance. The owner was friendly enough, the dress was ready when promised, and the quality of work seemed good (albeit a bit overpriced). The real issue (and reason I definitely will not return) was the owners inappropriate small talk while I waited for my daughter to try on her dress. I certainly didnt ask to hear his bizarre Covid conspiracy theories (theyre a lot of information that THEY are trying to hide from you), nor did I indicate that I sought his advice (you should do some research, theres a lot of things going on...), and I DEFINITELY did not need to be told to take my mask off because you dont need to live in fear (yeah, mask stayed on).Whatever...her performance was the next day, the dress was done, and science isnt for everyone.

Update: 5/2023 I just couldn't bring myself back to this location after just all the glitter and unfinished work. It just didn't sit well. They reached out, I'll definitely give them credit for that. I went to another cleaner's. Review coming soon.UPDATE:They reached out, extremely professional and promptly. We're going to work it out. I want to be honest & not leave a bad review without being completely honest with how I felt about my service. Thank you!!!!!!I'm so disappointed with my last order. I received both my freshly pressed clothes full of glitter. Maybe it was washed with other glitter items but it's not what I wanted to open my cleaning up too. Plus I had some altering done and they didn't even completely close the piece I specifically asked for. $50 down the drain, I won't be returning even to fix it. It's my loss but moral of the story check your items before you leave or YouTube how to alter something yourself. I'm sure a few have had a great experience but mine was not.The specks are glitter not great on the camera and I don't want to tussle them around. They sowed the ends together but …… what happened to rest of the seem?

Pasadena dry cleaning and laundry is a new dry cleaners that opened up down the street from my house. I frequent the dry cleaners for work multiple times a month, meaning I have been to many dry cleaners in the area and let me say this. Pasadena dry cleaners and the staff is top notch!Service was friendly and professional and it is unbelievably clean in their store which feels good. Not knowing about the quality of their work, my first order I left a 2 piece suit and shirt to test them out before I bring my higher priced items in.I was blown away with how the pieces came back once I picked up!A+ quality and very competitive pricing compared to the other cleaners in the area! When I returned the second time I asked if they did alterations because I needed a pair of jeans hemmed. They shortened my pants and pressed them in 2 days! They even offered me faster turn around, but was not needed!Definitely give them a chance I promise you will not be disappointed!Keep it up!

I normally dont write reviews. However this place stands out. It is clean, very friendly service and great prices. After going there 3-4 times, the thing my wife and I have commented on the most is the Staff...we have gotten quick and excellent service not only at the register but the staff is constantly checking to make sure all our items are intact and the pick up and deliveries are prompt. The best dry cleaner Ive had in Pasadena!

My mom & I have been loyal customers for years. When we came to pick up many items, among them a high-quality coat bought from a luxury consignment store, the girl told us that they couldnt clean it because it came damaged at the lapels. This is 100% false:1) The luxury consignment store has standards for the clothes it receives & does not buy or resell damaged clothing2) It wasnt damaged when I purchased the item3) It wasnt damaged when I came home and tried it on for my mom4) I brought it to this dry cleaner right after purchasing. The girl then explained to me their process: first, the front desk worker inspects the items & takes them in; second, the person in the back takes the item & starts the dry-cleaning process. She told me that they dont clean or accept damaged items. Since that is their policy, I asked why the first person accepted the coat if it had already arrived at their store damaged. She had no answer for me, and thats when the older man began laughing at me.She began to contradict herself when telling me the 2nd person noticed the damage & couldnt clean it. I was still confused about how my coat was dropped off in mint condition & picked up uncleaned AND damaged. I offered her a hypothetical: What if between the first and second employees, the coat was damaged? That could potentially explain why it arrived in perfect condition, but was in poor condition as the cleaning process began.Once I asked that, the man came out from the back & started laughing, pointing in our faces, & yelling. He said I was blaming them for damaging the item & lying about it. He also said that because the item is thrifted, it is poor quality & already damaged. The girl then likened my situation to them “finding the customers' keys in the pockets” (???). I repeated my question again, because my ONLY source of confusion still is: WHY was my coat was dropped off in mint condition, and returned in outright damaged condition? This is when their lack of professionality intensified.1. The girl blamed us for not picking the items up ASAP on the scheduled date (7/17). As I said, weve been customers for years, & never had an issue with late pick-up. If anything, since theyve had the damaged coat in their possession for such a long period of time, they had ample time to contact us re: the item & let us know that they cant clean it. Calling us ASAP when they discovered the issue = clearing themselves of ANY possible blame for the damage. It also would've showed us theyre professional and punctual.2. The older man (which the girl told with us is the owner) was verbally threatening, rather than de-escalating the situation. He yelled throughout our exchange, and b/c I had my service animal with me, I had to ask him multiple times to lower his voice. I asked him why he was laughing & yelling at me, and he gave no answer each time. As an asian woman, and with my mom speaking broken English, we can only presume that his racism prevented him from taking us seriously.3. The older man became physically threatening when I told him & the girl I wanted to end the argument and pay for the dry-cleaned items & be reimbursed for the damaged coat. While the girl initially agreed, the older man had other ideas. First, he came closer to us from the back of the counter all the way to shove his finger at my face and laugh at me. He crossed over to the other side of the counter and towered over me. He held the dry-cleaned clothes + the damaged coat in his hands, and forced it onto my body. He told me to take all the items and leave w/o paying. We were offended by that because we still want to support small businesses. I told them I did not need their charity; I can pay for the items and leave. He didnt listen, and continued to shove the clothes in my face, preventing me from being able to see anything in front of me. My mom ended up having to take the clothes because my vision was obstructed, and I was handling my service dog.

Very disappointed during my past visit. I have been a regular customer here when I travel over the past 3 years. Unfortunately my most recent experience was my last. They normally arrive after their opening time 6:45 instead of 6:30 as it says on their store - the tardiness makes things difficult when you are in a time crunch.Unfortunately ontop of that, they have messed up my orders multiple times and this last time was the last straw. All of this ontop of them opening I will be moving my business elsewhere unfortunately.
Super Dry Cleaners

I would Rate super dry cleaners but but I have not been there so I will rate the coin laundry right next door. In terms of convenience being located at Allen and Washington that it is. However the patients often complained of machines that dont work that are customarily labeled as closed circuit tTheres a human monitor close by and if you call the number they will apoear, refund your 75 cents or youre $2 but if it is the last $2 you had in your roll of 10 buck quarters, then TOO BAD for you.Now I have phone if you make a big enough protest and they see it they come faster and well even look at other machines and some repair may or may not go on but but the last woman asked woman there said she wasnt coming there anymore because the machines were dirty yes it was dirty yes inside many of the washers it was soap sets and clothes left and she was going to go to one elsewhere she described North on Allen but Im not familiar with that.So it can be inexpensive to wash there but my last load of clothes washed on hot water sprayed and soaked in Soil Love and with bleach did not become white which means their hot water is less than hot.. Thats the only logical scientific explanation I can come up for that.So if you want to take your dark clothes there its fine for 3 loads. cold water washing the few things you wear often is a cinch as those clothes commonly aren t your dry clean ONLYS your cold H2O white clothes may be washed too. Sunday morning is a particularly good time to go as all are in church ? ( I hope)and usually you dont have to deal with a mass mob . Catholicism is popular here, so if dealing with prayer to OMNISCIENCE is a private affair for you, and you have just a few loads for $2 that dry in 13 minutes, or have a big comforter to wash this place is ok.
White House Cleaners

If you have clothing that you care about, dont take them to this dry cleaners. They recently lost the belt to a NEW cashmere bathrobe AND some PJ bottoms about a year ago. When I complained they told me I never left the item but recall specifically telling the sales person to tag the belt as a second item. I was treated poorly by the sales manager and only after continuing to complain did I receive a refund but they refused to give me my item back citing that they needed to keep the robe for insurance purposes. Items also dont come back clean on certain occasions and Im convinced they just steam iron and rehang unclean clothing. Ive been a loyal customer for 2+ years and have had issues with White House several times. I now would rather drive 2 miles to a dry cleaners that runs ethically than come here.
