The TL Laundromat & Wash and Fold
517 O'Farrell St, San Francisco, CA 94102, United States
•First there's no way a 7$ wash is suppose to last less than 30minuntes. With that amount of time nothing gets cleaned and your clothes would still be soiled at the end of the day wash. Most big load washers last 40/50 minutes.•Second the little 5 load bottle of tide isn't enough for there to still be suds in a normal wash.• Third I should have realized that since the machines didn't take electronic currency that it wasn't a place my clothes belonged.• Lastly, if catching an Uber/lyft to somewhere else for better working machines, that will actually wash your clothes efficiently without scam artist telling you to pay another 7 dollars because a 5 load bottle of Tide is too much detergent to put in a 5 load washer … run don't walk to another place.Went there today, at recommendation by the Hilton. It was only two blocks away but having to walk pass the poop on the streets and the homeless really made it seem like miles. Got there used the first machine, which for 7$ is probably a 4/5 loader, and I used a 5 load single use tide bottle. After spending the 7 dollars the timer displayed something like 22 or 24 minutes. I assumed that it was the pre wash time and not the total time, because after all it's a 7 dollar wash. However, I was wrong, the total was like 24 minutes and by time the clothes finished rinsing they were still full of suds. I tried to push the button for an extra rinse while it was going to no avail. The lady in charge of the wash and fold told me that I would need to spend another 7 dollars and that it was my problem. This laundry mat seems like a scam that is taking advantage of visitors to the area and people who actually need to wash clothes. At the end of it all, I was given my 7$ back and told to go to another laundry Matt. I'm now at a much better/cleaner/cheaper/more advanced “laundry room”(an Uber away in Nob Hill) smells better

Disregard my compliment about the change machines. The owner, Adam, has stopped providing change and has gone to tokens for dollars because hes too cheap to buy quarters or coin dollars at his bank.If one uses a debit or credit card, s/he better know Spanish because the attendants are monolingual Spanish speaking only sometimes. Some dont know how to trouble shoot the machines anyway. These machines add a surcharge to use them because, once again, Adam is too cheap to incur the customers cost for their convenience to use plastic in the washers and dryers.Btw, Adam gets immediate credit for customers using a card, whereas before he had to empty the coins and make a physical deposit at the bank. Seemingly every month the price increases for using both the washers and dryers. 25 cents for four minutes is exorbitantly expensive to dry. $7 for a washer is even more prohibitively expensive.People still arent physically distancing or wearing masks, even though theres a notice in the front window to do so.PEOPLE, THE PANDEMIC ISNT OVER AND THE VACCINES AND BOOSTERS ARENT PROTECTING OR EFFECTIVE AGAINST THESE NEW B1-4 VARIANTS. The uptick in new cases are ravaging the SF bay area, especially Oakland, and soon in San Francisco the variant will ravage the city.Although theres a public restroom, the notice that states its out of service is misleading because its operational, only one must hunt down the elusive attendant. In the early afternoon the place is like a ghost town. Usually it takes me 3 hours to do and dry four loads of wash when the place is busy. In the afternoon I can get in and out in two hrs.I recommend this place begrudgingly because it seems to increase its prices every other month. I realize theres a continuing drought in California, and the price of water has gone up again this month; however, how does that effect the price of dryers???Smh.

Last time I came here the attendant tried to steal money from me. I had a dollar coin and she tried to give me 2 quarters. When I said wheres my other 2 quarters because thats a dollar she caught a nasty attitude. I had to threaten to call the police for her to give me back my money. Today they have multiple signs stating that the last wash is at 8:30pm but no closing time posted to be seen. The woman locked the door at 8:40pm and did not want to let in to get my clothes from the dryer. Whoever owns this place now hires only non-english speaking people to work there and the service has gone drastically downhill in less than 6 years. It used to be a welcoming, comfortable place to do laundry now it is not

I always try to get our clothes washed before heading home as I hate carrying dirty clothes on our trip back. After searching, I stumbled upon this and read the many raving reviews, which I 100% agree with all of the amazing reviews. The owner is Singaporean and could already catch my accent as I am from a neighboring country. We had so much stories to exchange given that we were originally born in the same continent. He also gave good advice to my child who is in college. He wash, dried, and folded all of our clothes and it was so neat that it was so easy to pack. You will have no regrets getting your clothes laundered here.

Love this laundromats! It's so close to me and they have several high efficiency washing machines. Yay! Unlike the other local laundromat I went to on one occasion. Washers & dryers at this location are reasonably priced, unlike the other local one. However, parking is challenging though. But other than that, I'm happy with all the machines, especially the high efficiency ones. My clothes, beddings, and towels all came out so clean!

I havent washed her, but went in for the $6 card and you can only purchase it with cash!! Not card. ☆~~I Reviewed to Let Users Know that the Wash Card was Not Available for Card Purchase...only Cash. A Prior Review Let Me Arrive with Expectations that The Wash Card was $6 & could be purchased with Debit. Unfortunately Not, Though--Judging By The Rude Comment Left By The Owner of Washmeister...I Doubt I will Come Back with Cash to Even Profit (Its) Business. Maybe it can correct their Proper Pronoun since it is so quick to judge a review entered in by Swype Keyboard &/or Individual Press for Each Letter vía Smartphone Keyboard. Such a Review. ♡☆Unfortunately, not for This One. Bye. Highly Recommend Avoiding, See Owners Response. Go if You Believe that is Appropriate Business Behaviour in The U.S.

I walked in with my comforter that doesn't fit in my washer and dryer. I've had zero problems with this place when the old owners still had the building. This was my first time going there since the new owners took over. So I went to the back of the store and asked the lady working if she could wash my blanket. And she looks at me as if I said some crazy offensive to her and gives me the fastest no in the world. This laundry mat has signs saying laundry drop off and wash and fold. So I have zero idea why she would wash it. I understand it's big and heavy so when I used to get them to wash it. It would be liken 25-35 bucks to just clean and dry the blanket itself. I'll never go back there. Waste of time. Employee needs to be trained better. Extremely rude and didnt want to do her job at all. I don't even like making bad reviews. But the owner should know. And if she's the owner. Sheeeeeeesh

Third time I've had to deal with a gentleman smoking from a crack pope asking me for money while I'm just trying to do laundry. Shouldn't have to explain to said gentleman's friends that smoking cigarettes inside a laundromat is considered a faux pas. No way to contact the owner, he never really stops people from hanging out inside drinking beers listening to music watching the neighbors do laundry. I suppose as a social club it could warrant two or three stars but for coaching clothes is a solid .75

Some local hotel is always here doing an industrial amount of laundry taking up all the washing machines, dryers and only dolly, as soon as one of their loads finish they reload it instantly as if they own the machine. Had to go to a different laundromat to get my clothes dried
