Brought in a quilted Burberry jacket for them to dry clean and it cost me $36. When I got it back, the pockets lining were gone. The Hispanic lady who was in charge of investigating called me multiple times just to “update” me on the matter. However mostly she called to ramble on and on with an attitude while insinuating that my jacket was fake or too old (I got it 5+ years ago and this is the first time I brought it in for dry cleaning) to look for any replacement parts for the jacket. She offered to look through camera footages to see if anyone cleaned out the pockets before dry cleaning but in the end she said the camera footage was too long to look through. Basically she won't do anything about it anymore so I just gave up. Bottom line is DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE with any expensive item. If they mess up, they will try to say your item is fake and they won't be any help. Better to go to a smaller dry cleaning run by mom and pop so your items will stay and get cleaned at one location instead of being shipped out to multiple places.

Kona Cleaners
20982 Brookhurst St, Huntington Beach, CA 92646, United States
Very disappointing. I rarely provide reviews but I was shocked how bad of service I received after reading so many good reviews. The front desk employee was great and she deserves 5 stars. However, I never seen a dry cleaner doing a such a bad job.I brought my new suit and slacks in to make sure they removed the smell off new clothes and all the bacteria from the manufacturing and so many people trying it on.It feels like that the clothes were not done any kind of wash, they were just ironed. They smell the same and are as rigid as before. Moreover, the ironing was horribly done. It is obvious that whoever did it, doesn't know how the type of temperature required to iron quality clothes. The jacket appeared not even ironed, and all 3 pants have the side line formed from the extra heat applied by the iron. I am not bringing it back because I am afraid they can ruin the clothes.

Keeta checks off all the boxes for what I look for in an esthetician!! She is very meticulous and knowledgeable about every service she offers and skin and skincare products. One thing that is non negotiable for me, is the care that people put into cleanliness and sanitizing. My OCD will have me watching every move like a hawk. Keeta's attention to detail and care to providing a safe and clean space is unparalleled! I love that I'm getting professional treatments but feel like I'm being pampered at the spa (yes, that includes extractions too!). She's currently helping me rebuild my skin barrier because I thought I knew what I was doing, but skincare isn't one size fits all. You can tell Keeta is passionate about her work and caters and educates you about your individual skincare needs. I switched over to her products my skin has been repairing and happier! So far I've gotten a hydrafacial treatment with DMK mask which left me absolutely glowing!! And a back treatment to prep me for bikini season (so soothing and delightful), and teeth whitening which gave me results after one session with no sensitivity. Also did I mention she's great company? Every visit is fun, I feel like we could talk for hours and she makes me feel so comfortable that I could openly drool on myself without judgement (lol cue the teeth whitening treatment). Don't miss out on this gem!!

SweatHB

I couldnt love Trina Elmore and her team of highly talented pilates instructors. I miss you all so dearly. I am livibg now in Atlanta and there is zero studios with reformers and the many early am working gal schedules. Its all here for ladies who lunch. The prices are ridiculously high. Zero places with an affordable unlimited program and while the teachers and studios look nice .. none have expereince using the healing art of pilates like your owner. Trina explained all the techniques that helped her with her own torn meniscus on BOTH knees and she helped me way more than my Dr. Gibson an excellent surgeon in Huntington Beach ordered physical therapy treatments. I told Dr. Gibson he needs to get House of Sweat on an insurance paid program so he could really heal his patients like me. My PT with a reputable HB physical therapy company actually caused a new tear when they had me do crab walksI felt it, dropped to my knees in pain and it was confirmed a new tear. How frustrating... But, thankfully House of Sweat rescued me. The work was steady, well instructed and all instructors were encouraging and supportive. Seriously, I am beyond thankful. Like I said just wish yall would open a studio for working gals ... okay and maybe guys ... hahahah like me. One day maybe? Trina? Hollywood makes lots of movies here now so maybe????? Much love to you all and best wishes for continued success. Forever a fan of House of Sweat!

Sweet Success Sugaring Training
18685 Main St Ste #101-125, Huntington Beach, CA 92648, United States
I took Libby's training course in September, I was working for a sugaring studio and they did not train me in depth and believed in learning by throwing me out there. I actually had a background on sugaring and taught myself before I began working professionally. A few months into my new job I found that I was still struggling and wanted to improve and attended the course! Honestly Libby is great at teaching! The techniques and modifications she showed me have improved my sugaring overall, and now have lots of positive client feedback! Do not hesitate to take her training! I did some research on other trainers and found that she was the most active on social media, sharing tips and tricks which an allowed me to see her personality and knowledge, her ability to communicate hand positioning and everything on sugaring is very understandable and clear!

Stoic
1615 Alabama St, Huntington Beach, CA 92648, United States
Ashley really has mastery of the body and you can tell she is super passionate about what she does. From proper warm ups, to form, to tailoring the workout to fit my needs, to body work and stretching. As a high level athlete my whole life I have worked with a lot of trainers, and no one listens and adjusts so well, while still delivering results. I can work hard without being scared of injury, as I know she is taking it all into consideration. I've worked out with her through different seasons of life, including two postpartums which I was so grateful for.She is also super funny, so that helps to lighten the mood when I'm dying from her insane programming. She always finds a way to strengthen my weaknesses, which leads to overall more strength instead of just working the big muscles like your typical Bootcamp or trainer that doesn't really tailor the workout to you.Stoic is also so nice. Clean positive inviting environment to workout, everyone is there to work hard while still having a good time. All levels welcome. Plenty of parking. Good vibes. Highly recommend.

Gracie Jiu-jitsu Huntington Beach
9887 Hamilton Ave, Huntington Beach, CA 92646, United States
Not all Jiu Jitsu studios, even with the name Gracie in them are created the same. Gracie Jiu Jitsu, from Grandmaster Helio Gracie focuses on the true art of self defense, and being able to defend, then defeat a bigger, stronger, more athletic opponent in REAL life situations, not in a competition/tournament setting...but you will still win in a tournament, if you chose to compete, with the added bonus of also being able to protect yourself against someone not in your weight division in real life. Other Jiu Jitsu studios train for tournaments, which is not bad, if that is all you want it for. We left GB after seeing the lack of self defense and sport jiu jitsu focus. Gracie Jiu Jitsu has the Bully proof program for kids, teaching self discipline, avoiding conflicts, while building confidence and skills to physically defend when needed. The kids program is tailored to teach this without excess force against the bully. Beginner adult class is the Combatives program, based off of years of stats of real world street fights. (Kids can join Combatives around age 13, I think).Once this program is completed, you qualify for a blue belt, and off to Jiu jitsu vs. Jiu jitsu stuff, along with advanced fighting techniques.Master Carlos is great, and has a gift for teaching kids, and adults.(He probably wont say, but he is a mutiple degree blackbelt in 2 or 3 other martial arts!).It is rare to see a head instructor roll with each kid to make sure they are doing the techniques correctly, and making sure no one gets hurt. He also teaches all of his students the same mind set, so the training environment is nothing but fun, even the KIDS take pride in helping each other learn the moves correctly without a competition mindset!! The adult class is just the same, fun, relaxing, full of learning and a great workout. In addition to the HUGE diffrence in this true self defense studio vs. Sport Jiu jitsu, Master Carlos (head instructor) and his daughter Selenia make this place very welcoming and comfortable to learn a new art form in, begining with the motto on the floor mat-Leave your Ego at the door ?. Once my boys began training in the kids program here, and seeing the difference between Gracie Jiu jitsu, along with Master Carlos patient instruction compared to other studios, we were hooked. Now its a family affair, all of us now train. The only Con, hes not open 24/7 so I can train more!!

SoFit Huntington Beach

I can't say enough about Deirdre and how grateful I am to have found her. I've struggled to get back into shape after years off because of surgeries. Then enter menopause and the whole game was changed! I've tried everything and was feeling defeated when nothing that used to work, worked anymore. When I found and messaged Deidre at Sofit, she got back to me quickly and assured me that she could help. I immediately felt hopeful . I have now been working with her for two months and can already see and feel a difference! I have muscles again! She has gone above and beyond to help me figure out what I should be eating, and has even made me an at home exercise plan for when I'm not with her in the gym. I feel strong and healthy and most importantly, feel like myself again!

Nice Shot Golf Training Center
7351 Heil Ave Suite B, Huntington Beach, CA 92647, United States
John Francis is an excellent instructor and his knowledge, patience, and guidance are unequivocal. I was a hopeless beginner in a hopeless predicament but after one lesson with John, I survived an 18-hole tournament at a championship golf course. That's how good John is. Here's what happened…On a late Thursday afternoon at work, I was surprisingly informed that I was to participate in a golf tournament that following Monday at a renowned and challenging course (top 50 in the world, top 25 in the US). Mind you, I had never played golf in my life, save for barely a handful of miniature golf outings that were more of a stroll through the cute displays than actual playing and an excruciatingly humbling experience at Top Golf four months prior. (It was there I learned that just being able to hit the ball involved a lot more skill than just ball-stick, ball-stick. Contact should never be assumed.)As excited I was to even be invited to the course, sheer terror set in as the realization hit that I may end up chucking my ball at each hole rather than hold up my teammates and the other groups. I immediately began my search for a last minute golf lesson; survival and a shred of dignity after 18 holes was my only goal. My father, who had played golf in his younger years, was amused at my panic. After going through a few instructors on Yelp and Google, I came across Nice Shot. It was a few minutes after closing but their website welcomed texting for any inquiries.I nervously typed my predicament to John. In a nutshell, I've never played golf and kept missing the ball at Top Golf but I am playing in a tournament in 3 days at a prestigious resort and I need help. With the time crunch and hopeless state I was in, I knew that any instructor would be reluctant to take me on. I anxiously awaited a response and when John messaged me back, fortune had it that he had a last minute opening the next afternoon. When I arrived at Nice Shot for my lesson, I meekly walked in and was so nervous that I would be so terrible that I'd be told that I was a lost cause. John was welcoming, affable, and sympathetic to the situation I found myself in, but also level-set any expectation I may have that I would be an expert after one lesson. I assured him I did not hold such delusions and quickly demonstrated my self-awareness of my ineptitude when he handed me a club and told me to show him my swing. After three pathetic swings he told me to stop. Apparently they were that painful to watch and I braced myself to hear that no lesson in the world could help me.However, John continued with the lesson and patiently demonstrated the proper stance, grip, and swing. Because this crash course was my only lesson before the tournament, he structured the lesson into condensed fundamentals to “make golf simple”, and most importantly, to have fun.Within the first 10 minutes, there were noticeable improvements and at the end of the hour, it seemed like there was actual chance that I would survive through 18 holes. The tournament was definitely a challenge and the scrabble format saved my life, but somehow I pulled off the first best ball. Needless to say, this was hands down all due to John's knowledge and guidance. After the tournament, I signed up for the 8-lesson package. During the second lesson John admitted that when he read my text, he thought that his friends were playing a prank on him. It was definitely a humorous situation that I can appreciate now and a funny story when people ask how I suddenly got into golf. It's been a little over a month since my first lesson and I am excited to continue learning this sport and extremely grateful to John for persevering through that first lesson and his continued guidance and expertise. Beyond a shadow of a doubt, highly recommend!
