Clean Bubbles Laundromat
624 Mission St, South Pasadena, CA 91030, United States
So today I received the rudest encounter with a worker of yours with light brown hair. She approached me aggressively saying to me, Dont be cleaning out the dryer vents here. While waving her finger at me like I was a child, but Im a 50 year old grandma. I told her, Im just cleaning out my dryers. The dryer vents were filthy and could also cause a fire hazard. She said, Well dont be cleaning them because others will see you and thats how dryers get broken. I said, Im not trying to break them. She replied still waving her finger with her voice raised, Well dont be cleaning them, thats my job! At that point I told her, Well do your job then? She said, Excuse me? I said, Well do your job then and I wouldnt have to clean them. And dont be coming at me all gangster like that. Which is the exact verbal abusive approach she took. It progressed from there with her threatening me, telling me this was her laundry mat and to get my things and leave. I told her my clothes arent dry yet. She yelled I dont care! Take them out and leave! Mind you this was happening in front of my children. People started to look. She yelled, Im calling the police. I replied calmly Call them. She continued to say she was going to turn off my dryers and I was tresspassing. At that point, I was ignoring her and continued to do my laundry and clean my basket while she continued saying, I dont give a F***!I was not about to let a woman be verbally abuse to me any longer so stayed quiet and waited for the police to arrive. Little did she know I was a retired social worker. They never arrived, my dryers were never turned off and she left. I hope shes learned a lesson. You treat people the way you want to be treated. You get what you give. Such poor customer service today, and I go there all the time. But this will not keep me from going there. I just hope you can communicate with your workers about being polite or maybe a customer service course will help.

The Laundry Room
1828 E Colorado Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91107, United States
Reasonable prices. Convenient coin service. Beautiful facilities, lots of things to see and do nearby (boba, shopping, etc) Machines work fairly well, the washers don't like to take quarters sometimes.I thought this would be my new laundromat of choice but the staff is RUDE. This gentleman who I've seen twice now micromanages way more than any laundromat I've ever been to. On both occasions I've been here, he's acted unnecessarily combative over minor things. The first time I asked if there was a restroom available, he said no in an unkind tone of voice and recommended the boba place next door. There is a restroom FOR FREE across the street at the gas station do not let this man talk you into buying $7 boba to use the restroom. It's clear that prior to the remodel there were restrooms available, and possibly still for staff - there are ways to maintain cleanliness and accessibility for customers doing the laundry. They should reconsider making restrooms available, for starters.Apparently my baskets were blocking a walkway for a brief moment and he rather rudely told me to move them - it wasn't clear that this was a walkway since one of the doors was closed and there was no signage indicating not to leave things there. Maybe a sign could be added saying “do not block this area”?The second time I visited I had headphones in and didn't hear him talking to me. Apparently he was trying to tell me not to hit the sides of the machine, since that could make them break. However, this machine had already eaten one of my quarters - I had taken out my headphones specifically to ask for his assistance.I'm leaving 2 stars instead of 1 because it's clear his intention is to maintain cleanliness and order here. Honestly I think this man should be doing something more than working for a laundromat - his managerial skills and direct communication could be a great fit for an office or tech or fashion company somewhere … I feel for him, he seems bored. But perhaps channel that boredom into providing kindness and support for your clients, who might be regularly using a laundromat for the first time in years and are still figuring etiquette out - and leave the snark at the door until after work is done :)
Fair Oaks Laundry
1344 S N Fair Oaks Ave, Pasadena, CA 91103, United States
You know, its rare that you find a laundry that lets you relax while your soiled items are being gentley air washed with a single drop of detergent[concentrate]. I love the electric leather massage chairs, Wi-Fi and Free Television.I heard Oprah was on T.v. one day. Now they will change a twenty ..,but you simply must walk in and purchase one of the their sundry items. The ladies there will do your laundry for $5.00 a pound if you prefer to just leave your dirty bag of clothes with them. You may purchase one laundry plastic bag for a dollar and a linen bag for five! Purchase your laundry card and other snacks at the vending machine and add enough money to your card for the lavish air-spinned washing machine! To top it all off you may enjoy a cup of coffee for $1 and free creme and sugar for the day. Where can you beat that???
The Laundry Room on Allen
366 Allen Ave, Pasadena, CA 91106, United States
Ive been visiting this location for just a few months but I was visiting their larger sister location on Colorado for 2 years prior. When I noticed this location, I started frequenting it since the machines were in newer condition and it didnt seem to be as busy during the times I typically like to go to the laundrymat. I was last here about 2 weeks ago and theres been a price change. The large dryers are now 25 cents per 4 minutes and the smaller dryers are 25 cents per 6 minutes. I have added pics of the washers I like to use because I can choose the extra rinse cycle (adds 25 cents) for a total of $6.00 per cycle for the smaller washer. For one of the regular loads I washed today, Ive spent $9: $6 for the wash and $3 for 48 minutes on the dryer. That means $18 for just 2 of the 3 loads Im working on tonight. The 3rd load was in the large washer and large dryer because its my sheets and towels but I did not capture those costs. I know nothing is cheap anymore but I do have 3 concerns about this situation:1. This price increase is likely not at all commensurate with the efficiency of the dryers. These dryers dont get the job done in less than 48 minutes in most cases for me. I usually split my loads up a bit for drying just to ensure everything is fully dried in 48 minutes.2. This is a LOT of quarters (36 per small load for me tonight) to have to manually load in a machine and when the machines start acting up and not accepting the money, it becomes time consuming. This problem is one of the reasons I stopped going to the other location. Fighting machines to take your quarters is really annoying. Think about an electronic laundry card that can be loaded with credit cards or cash. Please and thank you!3. Please post the pricing info SOMEWHERE in the facility. Bonus points for adding to your Google Maps listing. I also think the hours for this location are incorrect on Google Maps. I really enjoy having all info readily available so I can make better decisions and Im sure others would, too.One additional request: please designate a couple of spaces near your entrance for laundry customers only. This place gets silly on weekends with people loitering in their cars/hosting gatherings in the parking lot to eat the food from the restaurants in this strip mall. Since I dont come to eat in a tiny parking lot while hanging out next to my car and eating pizza with people, I cannot relate to what these people must be thinking while they watch elderly men and women struggling to lug their laundry around the area to get into the laundrymat because nearly all spaces are taken.Again, please and thank you from a mostly satisfied customer.
The Wild Swan Laundry Company
1794 E Washington Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91104, United States
Our house is currently under renovation so I needed to go to a laundromat and Wild Swan is the closest to us. The last time I went, it was under old management. What a difference - the place is bright, clean, organized, and with different size washers. In addition to coins, you can also pay by credit card so no scrounging for coins at the bottom of my purse! If you forgot your laundry supplies, they have it for sale on the shelf (for bigger containers) and vending machine (for smaller containers). There's even a free clothing section, which they hope, would help foster a sense of community. Last but not the least, the ever so friendly owners/staff are there to help, in case you can't figure out the machines, which happened to me : ).We anticipate being without a laundry room for the next 6-8 months. Doing my laundry at Wild Swan will certainly make it less of chore.
Laundryagogo
2585 E Colorado Blvd Ste 2, Pasadena, CA 91107, United States
Laundryagogo is a time saver and well worth the money for their service. I appreciate that it is an independent family owned business as I feel its important to support local family businesses as much as possible. The first time I called the owner picked up and was friendly and informative. The service is easy to use. You go on the website and set up an account and can choose to have services on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. They pick up the clothes and deliver the next day. I mean, cmon! The owner even apologized for the temporary $3 fee to cover gas....I would pay and extra $10 (please dont change it though lol) to have them come pick up my laundry, wash and fold and deliver the next day.I have been using them for a few months and have referred them to friends. I am also a business owner and I believe time is money. The time I save with Laundryagogo is money well spent. Plus, their rates are very reasonable. If you are considering I say give them a try. Hope this is helpful for anyone on the fence :)

The Sewer Co. Plumbing & Drains
21 Miller Alley Suite 210, Pasadena, CA 91103, United States
I met the owner, Pedro, from seeing his truck and wanted to find a local, small business owner to give my business to and referals. They were competitive with the ads I see for a slow drain, in my case, the shower. I was given a 1 hour window from 9am to 10am and their tech, Juan, called at 8:55 am to say hed be here Im about 35 minutes. I was so glad he did that so I could do things with that 35 minutes. He tool care of the issue and it was $99. He also knew about Cleanouts and told me they can do camera inspections for property purchases, which is great for real estate agents to know.My only suggestion is for the owners to be aware that a lot of Seniors on fixed income, live in the SGV and that any upcharge should only be to a big unforseen issue and not a back up of hair that might take a couple of attempts with the snake and vacuum. If customers are afraid of an upcharge, except for new customers, they may try someone new each time they need a plumber vs. being a repeat customer. As long as the time involved is not excessive, that seems to be a fair policy.Overall, I was totally satisfied that I called them just last week and was scheduled for the next business day after a holiday. I often hear of plumbers who are not responsive or very backed up. And, for those of us who cant be home for hours or days, I was so grateful, I didnt have to take time off and they kept to their schedule!
Roma Market
918 N Lake Ave, Pasadena, CA 91104, United States
As a grown-up, it's so much fun going to Roma Market. After spending time in Italy and cooking there, I really appreciate their selection. They have a lot of pasta varieties. It's a tiny spot, but they have a lot of goods from Italy. You can even get a Bialetti moka pot. It may look a little intimidating, but once you figure it out, watch your friend do it or watch a video online, you'll be hugged and want to have that every morning instead. Each Tasini, little cup, is equivalent to about 2 cups of coffee. I like the Illy brand coffee. This was from Italy. I find that the ones that are packaged in Italy taste much better. The ones that they sell in the US, you can find them at the grocery stores or at specialty cooking stores and you can taste fertilizer. I've done a few taste tests and was able to get a friend to bring some back again. It's definitely much better when it comes from there. It's not inexpensive. They cut their meat, fresh and cheese, too. I even got some other frozen sauces and bottled waters. I've gotten fresh bags of walnuts and pistachio nuts from them. It's always fun to see what they have in stock. As busy as they are, they surprisingly answer the phone every single time and answer questions. The ladies have been there forever and they are super nice.If you are in a hurry, do not go during the lunch rush as they have their ever so popular Italian sandwiches. They have it on fresh baked bread and their meats and cheeses are freshly sliced. They wrap them in pink butcher paper and the line goes out the door. A little Nonno stands by the door to regulate traffic coming in. You cannot customize the sandwich. It's so yummy. But either go a little before lunch or after and maybe the lines will be better. Parking is kind of tight but we always find a spot.
Pietros
920 N Lake Ave #4517, Pasadena, CA 91104, United States
Very rude. They all seemed very annoyed to have us there. We asked for a side of the sauce they make their hot wings with for the chicken strips (that tasted like cardboard) & the clerk just rudely pointed to a bottle of Tapatio sitting on the other counter. We got there at 8:05 pm. We were all in a good mood, quite, polite & stayed to ourselves in an empty restaurant, in the corner, out of sight. Our food came out a little after 8:30.While finishing or meal, 5 minutes after 9:00 (they close at 9:00) they came & locked the door we were sitting next to and told us we are closed then turned off some of the lights. When we went to go wash our hands after pretty much being told to stop eating, we go to a blocked off bathroom with a bathroom closed sign.We got several eye rolls at us though out the visit like when we asked for the Diet Coke we ordered 15 minutes before, when we told the server that he gave the wrong person the wrong thing, then when asking for boxes for our stuff we didnt get to finish after they kicked us out.About 5 minutes after they kicked us out, while we were finishing our conversation with the friends went to dinner with (since we had to cut it short in the restaurant) we saw one of the rude employees talking to someone very causal, both leaning on a truck parked across the front of the restaurant, about 5 yards away from us, the entire time we had & finished our conversation. Some food we had tonight was pretty good & some was the worst Ive ever had. If you want to take your chances ONLY DO TO GO, if that. The prices ARE dine in so I highly DO NOT recommend going or getting food there.
