Big Waves Laundromat - Mar Vista
3839 Grand View Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90066, United States
Its a long one so for those of you who are short on attention span:TL/DR: Highly recommend. Freaking clean! It has everything you need and want there with a nice staff. A great addition to the Mar Vista and Santa Monica areas, check them out if you need to get laundry done. Good pricing, free parking. New machines! At Pacific and Grand in Mar Vista, as well as a larger location in Santa Monica is Big Waves Laundromat. Opened a month ago. Please disregard the previous reviews that are older.Plenty of free parking in a fenced off lot thats very safe. Plenty of places to back into with seclusion behind me, which I love. My laundry bag sometimes breaks open and I dont need everybody to see the inside of my SUV when Im trying to put it all back together. I can see that theres lights for night time that will make the parking lot very well lit and safe. Theres also a front entrance and street parking as well. This laundromat is sparkling clean every machine is brand new. They keep it very clean as well. There are a variety of speed Queen washers, see the pictures of the prices. Whats cool is you can use the Speed Queen app and pick a machine. Pay through the app and see how long the machine has left during the cycle. When you sign up the first time you get a $5 bonus so its like getting a load for free. There are lots of carts available to pick up and drop off your clothing to your car. Fighting for carts like a certain laundromat down the street. There are lots of machines of different sizes eight loads, six loads, four loads and top loaders.Prices are very fair for washing and the dryers dry incredibly fast. So the top dryers are 5 minutes for a quarter and the bottom dryers are 6 minutes for a quarter and Im guessing this is incentivizing people to use the bottom and spread out the love of the laundry dryers equally. I have towels that usually take about 36 minutes to dry theyre very heavy. They dried in 24 minutes or possibly less, they came out perfectly bone dry like perfect soft lovely towel no dampness. Thats really hard for me to get at a laundromat even at 36 minutes and 42 minutes.Using the new machines freaking Rock and theyre so damn shiny. That means drying would probably take most loads about a dollar to dry completely which is exceptional.I found out in the Speed Queen app that if you use the $5 for your wash but it costs $5.25, you can blend your payments. You first must put in the quarter or the money portion that youre going to be paying. Then you can pay the rest with the app. Thats a nice feature that have not seen the other laundromats. .Free Wi-Fi. Quite a few TVs all showing different family-friendly programming. The Muppet show was on when I was there and I loved it. The volume of the TV was not overbearing, you could hear it if you were nearby. But it didnt interrupt you from hearing the other TVs if youre near them. Good balance.Bathroom for customers. A sink to wash your hands or do rinsing off of your clothing with a decent sized counter next to it also available in laundry area. Vending machines for any of your washing supply needs as well as drinks. There is a coin/bill breaker and an ATM.CJ was working there today, he is the operations manager for Big Wave and was very helpful getting me oriented to the laundromat. The folding area by the dryers is quite narrow but there are two large tables on the other side of the laundromat that I have ample space for folding big items shirts etc. Theres lots of plugs and USB ports to plug in your devices while youre folding, which is very nice. Like I said everything was so damn clean it was lovely I didnt worry about having to wipe down the surface before I folded.Totally a good neighborhood spot to go to and Santa Monica, you have one as well. So check them out.

Bronson Santa Monica 24 Hour Laundromat

Scam cards! I spent $20 on ONE LOAD!!! Next time I'll wait up till dawn and go back to the Laundry Basket at Highland instead. These weird cards require $10 minimum each time. $2 went to the card (scam like) and when I got to the machine, the uneven prices kept changing for water (which is normal, but uneven pricing is scam like) and then I had less than the $2 needed for drying. $20. They're trying to trap you. I'm just gonna let them have their ransoms and keep going to the laundry basket near Highland and Santa Monica. It's so much simpler, more affordable, a good app to use, and the machines are just as good with no scam cards. The machines didn't properly label where to put soap, so I couldn't get my clothes clean. This is an issue raised in another, recent review here. I wanted to avoid this one bc I seen this coming, but I had no option. This is so silly lol. I doubt a laundromat does refunds, but this one should. This is not a good business model, and I guess that's why they have to take people's change.I'm going to see if these are covered like gift cards by California law. If so, any balance under $10 must be refunded. And it isn't even that nice inside. The music will put you to sleep. But the vending machines will take your “laundry card,” if you want to prepay $10 for a can of soda.

They have. Half of the place with new machines and the other half are old ...i got to the location at 9:20 pm outside on the glass window right next to the entrance there is a sign that says new business hours 5:30am LAST WASH at 10:00pm as im walking in a lady says are you going in so i said yes and. She said we are closing soon....so i said well doesnt it. Say last wash at 10 and she looked lost so i said can i atleast wash it and air dry it at home since it was just 3 shirts and 2pairs of pants for an interview tomorrow she was nice enough to atleast let me do that then as im putting my clothes in the machine another lady approches me and says u cant so i said the lady in the front said to go ahead and she said really?? So i said yes and she said ok. And went to get the lady in the front to confirm then whispered [pretty loudly]to her hell be done 2 minutes after10 thats y u say no after 9 .....pretty stupid if u ask me....they should think about changing the sign to last wash at 9. And last dry at 940 so they can close and be out by 10:00 pm and not a minute later and to top it off i left before 3 other people

Launderland Laundromat & Wash and Fold
1119 N Western Ave C, Los Angeles, CA 90029, United States
Update:So went to Launderland late last night... One washer I was using ended up malfunctioning, and my clothes were still soaking wet when I opened it.Now it was late well after 1am but they do have always at least one person working there in attendance. Unfortunately I do not speak spanish but the language barrier was not a problem and did not prevent me from getting the appropriate assistance. The employee did not ignore me, he understood my problem right away and very kindly solved it at no extra charge without me having to ask even. He knew what most likely happened and took the initiative to fix it. I did not have to convince him or to come up with a solution on my own. He knew what to do and did it at no extra charge.Time lost because of this malfunction: less than 15 min instead of at least an other 30 min.The last thing I want when doing laundry is encountering a problem with a machine, wasting time and money. Not at Launderland, someone is there to kindly and quickly assist you if and when you need it.So thank you very much Launderland employee for rescuing my laundry and providing @ 1am on a Monday night the best customer service I ever experienced @ a laundromat.--------------------------------------------Open 24 hours 7 days a week and holidays, basically does not close. The place is clean, well maintain and safe.I have been going to Launderland once a week for a few months now and so far so good... I never had a problem, no washers/dryers malfunctions or awkward situations.I feel completely comfortable by myself doing my laundry @ Launderland. They offer free Wi-Fi while you are there which is great and very much appreciated.

310 Laundromat
12131 Washington Pl Ste G, Los Angeles, CA 90066, United States
I recently visited 310laundromat and overall, it was a good experience. The laundromat was clean and well-organized, which made the laundry process more pleasant. There were plenty of machines available, including a mix of washers and dryers, in various sizes to accommodate different laundry loads. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing assistance when needed and keeping the facility tidy. They also had clear signage for pricing and machine operation, making it easy to understand how everything worked. One of the highlights was the speed of the machines—washers completed cycles efficiently, and the dryers had multiple heat settings, allowing me to customize the drying process based on the fabric. The seating area was comfortable, with enough space to fold clothes and wait for cycles to finish. However, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. The parking area was a bit small, and finding a spot during peak hours could be challenging.Overall, Id recommend 310laundromat to anyone looking for a reliable place to do laundry. The clean environment, helpful staff, and efficient machines make it a great choice for both regulars and those needing laundry services while traveling. I would definitely return for future laundry needs.

Heavenly Laundromat

Staff is eh.. had a rude experience with a gentleman about the quarters ffs! He taped on my window where o was waiting with his key to tell me “for customers only”. I pointed to the back of the car and containers full of laundry. The machine I needed was occupied. Ugh. Additionally, if you like to do you laundry in peace or just want to get done like me.. I had 5. 5! Different solicitors offer items for sale inside the business in span of an hour. WiFi is out a lot, so the card payment option is hinky. The owners are nice and friendly. They keep it as clean as they can all things considered. If you don't speak Spanish, good luck!***Edit 2nd time in less than a month i was hassled about quarters. I had my clothes in a basket by the machine. I need quarters to wash. I'm literally the only “fair” skinned person with the expectation of the owners. I'm the ONLY one who seems to hassled/questioned about this nonsense!! And there is a major English/Spanish barrier so don't expect much of an answer or response.

This laundromat is horrible!! Reasons why you should not go wash here.1. The parking is a mess! Cars double park, blocking the people that parked correctly. Today there was 3 mini vans with suspicious people that did not wash. (They seemed intoxicated)2. The machines will charge you .25 cents more for hot water or normal loads.3. Machines are not clean. Your clothes will come out smelling dirty and humid. Machines are not well kept.4. Theres no laundry carts. The homeless people steal them. People have to borrow carts from eachother to transfer their clothes.5.Bathrooms are dirty.6. Homeless and very strange people wander around there. Its not safe. Now the workers...Theres 3 workers there.1. The lady: She is usually making out with her boyfriend throughout the place. They both smell like weed. The girl has gotten drunk and dragged out. She needs help asap.2. The man with white hair and short: This man walks around the place. Not helpful. Very few times cleans. Not friendly. The man with black hair and mustache (I think his name is Teinity or Trinidad.) This man is definitely on the friendlier side and he cleans the place up a bit more than the other two. When hes there he tends to chat with people is definitely more alert and aware of what goes on around there. If you have to go here, go when hes there.I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS LAUNDROMAT TO ANYONE.

Im going to be as fair as possible here island simply say that Its a little expensive to wash your clothes here in my case I have a washer and dryer at home but they cannot take oversize comforters so I had to come here. The smallest washer cost as low as $3.75 per was I used a standard size side washer and paid $5.00 for 1 Comforter to be washed with hot water under the (Premium Wash) which allows you to get a pre wash before the main wash. The washer worked very well and cleaned my Comforter excellent, however all the washers smelled like feet/movie theater popcorn and didnt look properly clean. The cleaning lady was a little bit rude but being Hispanic that was raised in East Los Angeles Im used to grouchy older ladies. But some people who are not used to that would probably not want to come here. The dryers cost 25 cents per every 9, 10 or 12 minutes for each standard size dryer, it really depends which one you pick and based on that it will randomly give you time as it feels like. The bigger dryers cost 25 cents for each 6 minutes so keep that in mind. This place is cash only and they do have a coin changer here incase you bring dollar bills only. For washing 3 comforters on the standard side facing washers and 3 standard size dryers I spent $17.00 so bring at least $20.00 if your going to come wash anything here. Other then that Ill be back whenever my comforters smell dirty again.Hope this review helps.

Top Laundromat
2189 Whittier Blvd C, Los Angeles, CA 90023, United States
EXPENSIVE!!!! At first it was a great laundry and reasonable prices but once they raised the price on gas the owner took advantage of that and raised the price on all machines and dryers. That was understandable because the gas went up by a lot and residents and businesses had to pay more for gas. HOWEVER the state reversed that price hike on gas and everything went back to normal EXCEPT this laundromat! All the other laundromat have a big sign outside stating to their customers that the prices went back to the same way they were but this owner kept the ridiculous high prices on every single machine and guess what??? If you want hot water to wash your clothes is going to cost you $.50 cents more per wash!! Also he lowered the heat seating on the dryers and now instead of drying your load with 2 quarters you need to dry them with $1.25!! Is it even legal that he keeps over charging us even tho the gas price went back to normal and hes paying less for gas now?

This place is perfectly clean. As I entered the place, I saw the staff cleaning and I couldn't see any single dirt on the floor. There are ceiling fans and a lot of chairs. It's very relaxing while you chill and wait for your laundry. There are washing machines for 3 loads, 4 and 6. I used the 3 loads for $2.00 and went on for 22 minutes. The dryer is cheap; 0.25 for 12 minutes. I have seen there are different prices for each washing machines, it depends on what you're using. If not mistaken, there were $2, $2.75, $3.75, and $6. Parking space is big so it's not a problem unless if you go during peak hours, parking space is not guaranteed. You can buy detergent, and other stuff you need for your laundry since they have this mini store upon entering the place. Like any other laundry places, there are machines for the drinks and chips.
