Took some button downs, two wool coats, and a black suede jacket here.I was told that the suede jacket would take two weeks before it was ready, which was no issue. The jacket ended up taking over 6 weeks. Which again, would have been fine if they were just honest with me. I had to repeatedly call to find out where my jacket was during those 6 weeks - often times my call was dodged. Every time I called, I was told my jacket would either be ready the next day, next two days, next week, etc. etc. I went there in person to pick it up 3 weeks in after being told it would be ready that day and was given half-cooked excuses as to why my jacket wasnt ready. I was promised several times that they would call me back by tomorrow with the status - they never did. Not even once. Very tedious. When I was finally able to retrieve my jacket from them, it was not good. They had re-dyed the suede with some cheap black dye that rubbed off on everything. My skin and any surface that my jacket touch was left with black residue. The jacket was a year old, the color still as black as could be, and only needed a bit of cleaning before the winter season. I did not ask them to dye my suede jacket. I am not sure why they would do that, and I really wish they hadnt because the cheap dye they used ruined my jacket. The two wool coats, they were not well cleaned (possibly not cleaned at all). I had to take them elsewhere to be actually cleaned. But at least they werent ruined like my jacket. Most surprisingly, the button downs were not well pressed either. Odd creases in places creases didnt belong. I figured buttons downs, any dry cleaner should be able to get right with ease.To summarize, this place is more expensive than other dry cleaners and may or may not take care of your clothes. Good luck to you and your wardrobe if you decide to take your garments here!To the owner I see arguing with peoples negative reviews, please. Your staff went negative on the delivery and took no ownership of the issues they caused.

09/27: I am so glad to say that the owner was true to his word. He is hard to get ahold of but my issue is now resolved. The owner offered to replace my coat with a similar one. These coats are winter season items so I had to wait until now for a retailer to sell something comparable. I purchased the comparable item and submitted my receipt and got a check to cover the cost. Thank you for making a bad experience right. I will continue to be loyal to this business. Its always a good practice to give someone a chance to fix their mistakes.06/10: Today I get notification that my coat is ready for pickup. Guess what? The zipper was replaced but it doesnt zip down all the way. The cashier tells me I have to call during my work hours (Monday 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.) to reach the Owner, to see what they can do. Isnt it apparent that my zipper is still not repaired and needs attention? This place is great for dry cleaning, but never again will I bring anything that needs alteration or repair. This hurts my heart that my favorite jacket is still not in my possession since April 15th. I trusted this place to get the job done and now I dont know when my coat will be fixed. The person who does the alterations comes and goes as they please they dont even consider other peoples agendas with their items. Thisis not professional at all!!06/01:I sent a coat in for zipper repair on April 17th. They said itd be ready in 3 weeks. Thank GOD its not cold weather because today is June 1st and I still dont have coat back ?. I asked about it and they told me that they dont know when it will be ready. I only got my belt that belongs to the coat back. This place is great for cleaning but dont bring items you need back anytime soon for alterations or repair. Im upset that this is out of my control and I dont know when Ill get my coat back ?.

I recently visited this location in Sacramento for the first time last week and yes It does have a nice location area in the plaza, but unfortunately it was nothing of which I originally paid for. I brought a coat and pair of flare pants in which had some face paint along the collar of it from a previous video shoot. I spoke with the lady in which we came to the final pricing and when I would need it by because I have an event on Saturday. Everything was fine, the woman behind agreed. The Day comes around to being done and it literally looks like the same coat I brought in just now with hangers and tags. I could still see dog hairs on it. It wasn't really much communication we could do because the initial lady who helped me wasn't there. I'm not here to down the business because I want all to grow, just tell me experience so hopefully they improve communication and service.

Brought in my brand new, never used down-comforter to be dry cleaned before use. (Because thats how I was taught to do things, wash brand new items before use) My husband and I looked at reviews for places all over Sac and this one seemed to have the best, despite the ridiculously high price. We decided to go here to make sure our new expensive comforter was done properly. MISTAKE. Upon pickup, I was so disappointed. I opened the bag before payment and Im glad I did. First, I was stabbed by a staple sticking out of the bag. Ok no biggie. But after I got the bag open, there was 2 bugs on it right at the bottom of the blanket. So I started inspecting it, in front of the worker mind you, and found more bugs, and hairs as well. Human hairs throughout and animal hairs all over. Like...cat or short dog hairs. Not sure which. Im terribly allergic to cats too so thats just..peachy. But regardless, the blanket came back dirtier than when I dropped it. It didnt smell pleasant at all, and honestly Im pretty bummed to even have had to pay anything for it. I had to ask for a manager to give me a discount and she offered me a measly 25% so I paid 45 bucks to have my brand new, expensive comforter dirtied. Not satisfied and wouldnt reccomend. Ill definitely update my review if the manager makes it right but I dont see that happening.
Rytina Fine Cleaners

I recently moved and was looking for a dry cleaners nearby for dresses worn at my nieces wedding. Based on other reviews, I gave Rytina a try.Finding their location is not difficult once you realize they are not in Loehman's Plaza but behind it and a large sign draws your eye to their parking lot. As you park, you can see their cleaning operation behind large windows. Most cleaners I've been to have their operation behind the front counter making it difficult to see.Seeing what was going on behind the large windows almost made me not see the door on the right to the front counter, where I was greeted by the sweetest young woman. She took my information and quickly set up an account for me. She told me my items would be done in a week.A lot of thought went into the front counter area. The area is large and there are a few intake stations where I saw at least two people working the counter both times I visited. There are dark metal racks that I thought were decoration but they use them the hang your clothes on when you pick up your items. Very classy area!Within 4 days, I received a text that my dresses were ready. The same young woman waited on me when I arrived for pickup I mentioned the quick turnaround. She smiled and was pleased I was a happy customer!

This review is long overdue: I brought my trench coat here to be dry cleaned because it was so highly rated. My trench coat was a little dirty on my belt and along the edges and ends on my jacket. When I got my jacket back the stains where gone but there was a bleach stain right next to my collar. What's crazy is the lady at the counter put stickers next to the spots that needed to be cleaned and I ended up with this discoloration on my coat. Now my trench coat I bought in another country that fit me perfectly is ruined and I have to buy a new trench coat that doesn't have a visible discoloration mark on it!

Ive never before written an online review of a business, but in light of the absolutely terrible saga Ive been through with Expert Discount Cleaners over the past eight months, I feel obligated to warn anyone and everyone in the community to avoid this establishment like the plague!Back in August of 2017, I took four items of clothing (2 dress shirts and 2 pairs of suit pants) to Expert Discount Cleaners for dry cleaning. When I returned to pick up these items, I was only given three of them back. The store clerk could not locate one of the pairs of suit pants that I had left for dry cleaning and sewing/hemming. I immediately presented my claim ticket to show that I had not received one of the pairs of suit pants back. For the several months that followed, I returned in person on multiple occasions and made numerous phone calls to check if my suit pants had been located. On each of these occasions, the store clerk would either tell me to return at a different time or day to speak with a different clerk, or claim that the pants were still being located and that I should check back again later. Basically, no one seemed to want to take responsibility for the issue.I finally got the owners phone number a few weeks ago. Despite assuring me that the issue would be resolved, he still has not resolved it. Unfortunately I cant leave voicemail messages with him because his mailbox is full (how convenient), but I have recently texted him several times with information including the claim ticket and description of the item lost, only to receive no messages or calls back. Adding insult to injury, the one time I was able to get a hold of him on the phone, he claimed that at most he would only have to provide me $40, despite the fact that the replacement cost of the pants is $200. Thus after eight months, this cleaners has neither located my missing suit pants nor provided me the replacement amount. I had actually planned on wearing that particular suit to a wedding next month, but obviously cant do so without the pants. At the end of the day, a business shouldnt take advantage of its customers. In this situation, I feel like Ive been given the run around for months, with the owner and staff presumably hoping that Ill finally just give up trying to get my suit pants back. But especially after reading that Im not the first customer of this dry cleaners who has been treated in this negligent manner, Im not giving up. Im filing a claim with the Better Business Bureau. At the very least, the community deserves to know that this establishment has a history of mismanagement and taking advantage of its customers.I am still hopeful that this issue can be resolved, and will of course update this review if my missing pants issue is appropriately resolved. In the meantime, though, if I were you, Id most definitely take my dry cleaning and business elsewhere!

Please take your clothes somewhere else. I had two pairs of pants and a wool sweater done. When I went into the store it smelled weirdly funky and unpleasant...not exactly mildewy, but similar. There was a large bucket catching water falling from the ceiling. For some reason I ignored this and had my clothes cleaned anyway, and they came back smelling SO GROSS. The pants are machine washable so I washed them right away but the smell didnt come out!! The wool sweater I guess Ill just have to go to a different dry cleaner to get redone. $40 just to machine wash my pants myself and clothes that smell like mildew.

Wonderful experience with Swansons! They had an extremely fast 2-day turnaround for 13 items (including two three-piece suits!), handled my items with care, and emailed me as soon as the items were available for pick up. Top that off with wonderful customer service, and I will definitely be coming back. They even handled my more difficult item (a white linen shirt with a tomato sauce stain) with a level of transparency and skill that I admired. They were upfront with me that they would do what they could with the garment, but couldnt make any promises. Upon receiving my item, 98% of the stain had been removed and they had left a tag on the garment, letting me know that they did as much as they could with the garment without having to damage it. That was good enough for me! The stain is now so small it would be hard to recognize without someone pointing it out. Needless to say, the shirt is now back in my regular rotation -- thanks, Swansons!
