Comment: Brandon and the team at Project Performance are nothing short of miraculous. If that sounds extreme, keep reading. For the last 10 years I have had an increasingly less mobile and increasingly more painful left shoulder. Ive gone to several doctors, done FMRIs, multiple PTs, even an Osteomanipulation specialist who dislocated and relocated my shoulder in the exam room, and the result was always the same. No answers, vague suggestions, and on my way.I went to see Brandon after a glowing recommendation from a previous client, and from the first session he blew every other experience out of the water. He listened carefully, asked thoughtful questions, and involved me in the process the entire time. There were two very small details I mentioned off handedly, and because Brandon took time to see the whole picture, test, and explore, he did what no other previous professional in every capacity could not. I now have an understanding of my specific injury, how it likely happened, and for once, how it will get better.Every exercise I have been given has been specifically tailored to me, carefully taught in session and are so easily done at home. Thresholds have been carefully discussed and defined, and each and every movement and therapy Brandon applies respects the individual and what their body has to say.I am about three months in the process. Previously, I could only raise my left arm comfortably to about ear level, had sharp pain in various places of the shoulder as well as random and intense numbness along the arm down into the fingers. Comment: Dr. Brandon has helped me over the past 5 months recover from a rotator cuff strain/tear. I had come to him first after injuring and experiencing pain in my arm and told him my goals of being able to get back to lifting weights and swimming. Comment: I tore my ACL playing football over a year ago, and waited 6 months to get the surgery. Dr. Brandon from Project Performance built a strength program for me months before my surgery to maintain my strength.After my surgery, I was able to walk without my crutches within the first week! The week after that Brandon helped me get my squat back! By the end of the first month I was already doing squats, lunges, deadlifts and other common leg exercises that I didn’t think I would be able to do until later on!It’s been 5 months since my surgery, and I am confidently running outside, doing box jumps, and even agility drills like learning how to decelerate and control my speed.Brandon is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to ACL rehab for someone who is active. He has a mix physical therapy and strength and conditioning. He also has a torn ACL that he did not have surgery. I’ve been to many highly credible and experienced physical therapists, doctors, and sports medicine providers - but they’ve all told me to stop running and exercising so I can get rid of my knee pain.It wasn’t until I met Desiree from Project performance physical therapy, where she taught me if I avoid these movements I wouldn’t be able to fully resolve the knee pain myself. Comment: I am a trainer therefore very active. I recently started experiencing some discomfort in my left hip. This was triggered by a couple of things. One of them being exercise . Another factor is my posture and the way that I sit. Therefore some muscle imbalances and improper movement. It got to a point where it was very uncomfortable sitting standing or laying down. At that point I knew I needed to do something about it. Thats when I sought out Project Performance Physical Therapy and I was able to schedule a session with Desiree.She is very patient, knowledgeable, and is great at finding the root cause of your pain or discomfort. I received a thorough assessment of my movement patterns. Afterwards Desiree showed me a few active stretches and mobility exercises that I could do to alleviate the pain that I was experiencing. She demonstrated and helped me work through the mechanics of each movement.After my session with Desiree, I continued to incorporate the movements that she showed me in our session. I did experience a little bit of pain for a few more days. But after that it went away and I have not had that pain since then. I had intended to do a follow-up session. I’ve been going to Dr. Brandon for about two months to rehab from a nasty tear in a calf muscle. The injury was on my right leg and when I first started going to him, I could barely walk, let alone drive. I’m thrilled with my progress and I’m walking quite well and practicing driving short distances to work towards getting back to where I was before the injury. Dr. Brandon has been amazing with explaining the process to me as well as how the injury and healing affects my other muscles and tendons. He’s been great with explaining the healing process, which gives me peace of mind, and also helps me be patient with myself to heal properly. Dr. Brandon gives me exercises every visit based on his assessments during each visit. He is very detail oriented and customizes my program based on my progress and goals. I also very much appreciate that one of his long term goals is to teach me how to reduce the risk of re-injury. I also really appreciate that he uploads my exercises Into a portal where I can review them and track my progress. There are also pre-existing videos and videos that he uploads of me doing certain exercises with his narration. It’s very very helpful! I have already recommended Dr. Brandon to several people and would have no hesitation going back to him myself should I have a need in the future. I hurt my back almost a full year ago from deadlifting and I was in so much pain for the longest time but no acupuncturist or other physical therapists could get down to my problem like he did. They prescribed me basic stretches and told me to rest, but returning to lifting without knowing why it hurt kept hindering my road to a full recovery. I lost a lot of hope and almost thought I could never lift heavy again. I could barely even pick up things from the floor or put on my shoes without pain, but today I feel the best I’ve been since the injury. Comment: I went to Project Performance for a consultation for a herniated disc that had a flare up and wanted to address the root issue. Brandon put me through a series of tests to discover my imbalances and current range of motion. He did this with the most care and didn’t force useless movement. Once the tests were over, we went through a quick session where I was able to move with far less pain. That was just the first session! After the hour long session, Brandon set himself apart from other PT’s when he went through his 5 step plan to make sure I was able to address the root cause AND give me the tools to strengthen my core beyond the end of our sessions. After getting several knee injuries in jiu jitsu; I finally decided to look into physical therapy and my friend from jiu jitsu recommended Brandon to me. I was skeptical about pricing in the beginning but I decided it was time to invest in my body. Making the decision to work them yielded real results. In October 2023, we started working on a plan to strengthen the muscles that supported stability for my knee. We tested my left quad and noted that it had the strength of 7 kg. I injured my knee around six months ago. Comment: I went to see Brandon after a skiing injury that left me with a torn MCL, ACL, LCL and meniscus. Brandon helped me work through my options for rehab and when I ultimately decided on surgery to repair my ACL, he helped me through all my prehab. Now Im almost 6 months post-op following my ACL reconstruction and feeling great thanks to Brandon. Comment: I have been living with knee pain since at least the 8th grade. In 2021 I had surgery on both knees and was told that I could try injections but that both knees would need to be replaced sooner rather than later. That same year I was diagnosed with bilateral shoulder impingement syndrome. Both shoulders were injected with steroids and I was told it was just to delay surgery. I was at the point with my knees and shoulders that walking on level ground was painful (even the swinging of my arms was painful!). I was not able to comfortably sleep. Stairs were impossible as were my hobbies. I did daily physical therapy with no improvement at all. I had resigned myself to surgery and had even met with 2 different surgeons when a good friend told me about Pascual Performance Physical Therapy. She is a black belt in Jiu Jitsu with a knee as bad as mine. I met with Brandon for an assessment and we went to work. Over the course of the next few weeks the exercises improved my comfort in both my knees and shoulders. I continue to improve in ways I would not have imagined- I can climb stairs comfortably! I can interact and ride horses comfortably, very important as this is how I earn my living. I can train jiu jitsu 4-5 days a week and I earned my blue belt because I was able to train! I’m excited that I continue to improve despite the predictions of the surgeons. I appreciate Brandon’s ability to adjust my exercises to my specific needs (something I never experienced with previous physical therapy). Brandon has been helping me with my back pain caused by a L5-S1 extruded disc which also involves a pinched nerve, causing left leg/ankle weakness. I was seeing a different physical therapist in my insurance network but I was getting frustrated with the repetitive exercises and lack of progression. Comment: I hurt my lower back months ago deadlifting. Of course I thought I could fix it on my own by taking some time off and then reintroducing lighter weights, etc (If this is you, just book an appointment with Brandon now and save yourself months of wasted time trying to do things on your own and failing). After a couple months of trying to ease back into lifting, I hurt my lower back badly doing a simple workout with light weights. The pain was so severe, I could not get out of bed and had to call out of work. Thats when I reached out to Brandon. I told him my situation and he made time for me the next day.After doing his initial assessment, he figured out the root causes of my injury and a week later I was flipping tires in my sessions with him. I am a very active person and my biggest concerns were getting back to my group fitness class (heavy on weightlifting) and surfing. Since I have started working with Brandon, I have learned that I was lifting incorrectly before and not engaging a lot of different muscles. I thought I was engaging my core muscles before getting injured, but after working with Brandon I think my core and glutes are stronger than they have ever been. Thats after 10+ years of group fitness classes/Crossfit! I feel more equipped than ever to lift heavier weights and PR at the gym. I have already returned to surfing with no pain.I have gone to different PTs in the past and I would recommend Brandon for several reasons. 1. I have scoliosis and what I didn’t realize was I was slowly, overtime, getting more twisted and it was throwing my hip out of whack. So what I needed was someone to help me get UN-twisted!Since working with Brandon, I have seen the most progress that I’ve seen in two years. He’s really innovative. He finds ways to strengthen and trigger muscles that haven’t been activating. I have learned a lot with him. Comment: Two months ago I woke up with excruciating lower back pain which then lead to sciatica down my lower right half.I had never experienced pain like this and wasn’t sure what to do. In a month my wife finally began noticing a difference.This process wasn’t easy to watch and I am thankful for Brandon’s in depth knowledge and commitment to his patients. Comment: I first started working with Brandon 11/10/21 as my in home Pt after my knee replacement surgery. Ive gone from not being able to lift my leg off the floor onto the couch to being able to do things I havent been able to do in 30 years! After my PT was finished I started working with him as a personal trainer. .the gym can be intimidating for an 58 yr old whose never worked out before. Comment: I came to Pascual Performance after tearing my meniscus. This was only 2 days after tearing it and he had me walking without the crutches after the first session! I was able to walk without worry by Friday after only doing his exercises for 5 days. I had torn my meniscus before and was on crutches for around 3 - 4 weeks so this was a major improvement than when I previously injured it. Brandon was very knowledgable and did a ton of different tests to get the same diagnosis that a knee specialist and MRI confirmed weeks later. Id highly recommend him to anyone dealing with injuries or looking for a physical therapist!

Comment: I have had nagging shoulder pain from an old injury for about 10 years now, and it was starting to affect my day to day life. Massages and the chiropractor were just temporary reliefs to a more long term issue. Brandon was able to help me detect the root/cause of my pain, and what needed to be done to help resolve the pain, and finally heal. Comment: PP Physical Therapy should be your one stop for any type of body part pain or injury.I came to Brandons private practice about a month ago because I felt throbbing pain starting in my right arm shooting down my arm and hand. Initially I thought I had damaged my rotator cuff, but after getting a full evaluation from Brandon it turned out to be something else. The diagnosis for the pain came from overworking my trapezius/neck area from improper form/posture during my strength training workouts.The pain was at an 8 and prohibited from doing upper body workouts with weights, chores (washing dishes) and even made it hard to sleep. After working together once a week, for the last month, the pain is gone and we are training my body to work different back muscles.I have been to physical therapy once but it was through my medical insurance. This time I decided to not use insurance and try private practice instead to see if I can get different results.I feel like the service here at PP Physical Therapy is beyond what I expected. Each week we work on body muscle isolation and education. Brandon’s goal is to teach his clients so the injuries are minimized from the wear and tear we put on our bodies. He has a great approach to client care and his musculoskeletal expertise proves that his sessions ensure efficient and quick recovery.

Comment: Ive been seeing Brandon for a few months now, and I can now say hes the best Physical Therapist I have ever worked with.After 20 years of military service and nine surgeries, I was not a fan of physical therapy. Im convinced that most physical therapists are trained to push people through a cookie-cutter recovery program, void of any tailoring or customization. But after injury after injury and poor/improper recovery, my back was a hot mess. My trainer recommended Brandon, and now Im a believer!I am in less pain than ever before and am on the road to living my best life. His knowledge and approach have been outstanding. He is also very affordable—I have full Tricare with a 100% disability rating, but I choose to pay out-of-pocket for his care and services! Comment: Before seeing Brandon, I was suffering from shoulder pain. At the time, I had already seen two physical therapists and they were only able to help me with my pain temporarily. I even spent hundreds of dollars to see a massage therapist and unfortunately, it also removed my shoulder pain temporarily. I was 20-years-old when I was diagnosed with a frozen shoulder and being this young with such an injury was not easy. I constantly compared myself to my “healthier” peers who were able-bodied to do everyday and recreational activities. When I moved to San Diego, I finally decided to seek a personal trainer. I stumbled upon Pascual Performance and was drawn to Brandon’s credential as a doctor in physical therapy. I was just a week into his program and I was already seeing results! Brandon had me focus on rehab exercises for the first few months so that I can “build up”/“wake up”/“turn on” my back muscles since mine were so weak. When pain arose during these seven months, Brandon was able to immediately educate me by addressing why I was feeling pain, correcting my form, and modifying the exercises. Today, I have been with him for about seven months and I have never felt more resilient. My shoulder is stronger and I am no longer complaining about the pain! He taught me what’s going on in my hip, what exercises to do on my own, and how to adjust the way I run and workout at the gym. Comment: I started working with Dr. Pascual sometime last year due to chronic low back pain sustained during deadlifts at a gym. He performed a thorough evaluation in order to see whats really going on before instructing me on various mobility drills and strengthening my core and glutes to alleviate the symptoms on my low back. Any advanced level lifters moving serious weight will eventually experience some kind of lower body and pain. With this in mind I highly recommend consulting and working with a skilled and knowledgeable DPT such as Brandon.He helped me get back on track with my lifts after a serious back injury that riddled me with a sever case of sciatica. Comment: I consider myself a fairly active person who lifts weights and would run 3 miles fours times/week. I started experiencing left hip pain that made it difficult to walk or even tie my shoe and decided to go to outpatient physical therapy. The main PT barely worked on me or did anything hands on and then I was passed to a different aid every time for basic exercises that didn’t help and most of the time I had to remind them what my injury was. I started looking around and that’s when I found Brandon 3 years ago who completely changed my life. Not only did he fix what regular PTs couldn’t in 3 months in 1 day, but he was very knowledgeable and explained why I was having issues and how to prevent it. In 1 hour of stretches, dynamic warmups and specific exercises for my hip, the pain I came in with was completely gone! I love working with Brandon and haven’t had anymore pain since that session. I can simply say that my experience with Brandon has been nothing short of spectacular. I have completed my therapy goals at this point and am at least 2-3 weeks ahead of where I was at this stage during my other knee replacement. I have mobility, stability and strength that I would not have thought possible at 5 weeks post surgery. Brandon is a true professional - on time - carefully and patiently explaining each exercise including how and why we were doing it and providing guidance and positive reinforcement throughout each session. He pushes you to accomplish your goals and to go above and beyond if possible. He is an excellent communicator as well. I was so pleased with my therapy results that I personally recommended him to my orthopedic surgeon for future referrals. Comment: In July of 2022, I was in a car accident during a 30th birthday road trip in Arizona that unfortunately left me with 2 surgeries. I was inserted a rod & 4 screws for my broken femur and then a plate & 3 screws for a tibial plateau fracture.I had gone through 3 different traditional Physical Therapists where the booking process was arduous since it had to go through my health insurance just to book. I didn’t want to keep paying for Ubers to PT, so I googled nearby therapists in the Linda Vista/Mission Valley area and Pascual Performance was the closest to me. I didn’t have a car but it was a 22 minute walk. I liked walking and it was helpful for my leg anyways!I called Brandon, he picked up quickly, said his sessions are usually $65 not through insurance and said I could come in for a consultation. I had to think about it but in comparison, I was paying about the same price if not more in Ubers and copays. I went in for a 30-minute consultation and the longer you commit, the less expensive the sessions are. I could only do 2 months for reasons explained below but he still let me pay $60 each session. Expect to pay the full amount you commit to at the time to booking. He was flexible enough to let me pay a day later since I was unsure but after the first session, I knew I had made the right decision! I hadn’t felt as physically pushed with my last therapists at SHARP and really liked how Brandon stays with you 1-on-1 throughout the hour-long session to ensure you were doing the moves correctly. With traditional PTs, you’re left with an aid for the last half hour who may not always be paying attention or know the correct form.I told him I was in a bit of a time crunch because I wanted to get my leg ready for a year-long trip to Australia in 2 months (my visa restricted me to leave early December). I had been wanting more of an athletic-based Therapist and since he’s also a Personal Trainer, his sessions actually felt like workouts which I preferred. I expressed how I typically am pretty active and want to get back into running, weight lifting, hiking, surfing, snowboarding, & diving. After these 2 short months, I’ve been able to start hiking, jogging, climbing stairs, weight lifting, dancing & jumping again! He said he feels confident that I can attempt surfing and diving again too.In addition to his in-session practice, he also provides updated daily programs which are easy to sustain at home because they didn’t take longer than 30 minutes. My programs before took 45+ minutes which I didn’t want to do as consistently. He also provides scraping, cupping, myofascial release to supplement ROM/mobility limitations & muscle atrophy.If you’re thinking about working with Brandon, I’d highly recommend at least trying out a session and I’m sure you’ll want to keep going. I wish I was able to stay with him longer! Brandon truly cares about his patients’ progress and is easy to contact if you have any questions, no matter what day it is. He’s passionate and highly knowledgeable about PT - I’ve learned a lot about how my own body works from him. He said he’d still provide me with exercises while I’m in Australia before I can find a new PT overseas. He’s truly changed the way I see Physical Therapy after going through so many.Bonus points: You sometimes get to keep using the gym equipment after your sessions are over AND can bring in your dog! They have a large kennel and he also has an office they can cheer you on from. :)

Comment: Brandon is a great coach/trainer! He is a very knowledgeable professional trainer, and he is also very easygoing and works with individual clients based on each client’s needs. I came to Brandon for a physical therapy session because of a shoulder injury. I visited two different chiropractors that day before Brandon’s physical therapy session. The adjustments from the chiropractors were helpful, but I was still not able to move my right arm. After an hour session with Brandon, I was able to raise my right arm above my head and did several other movements. I couldnt thank him enough because he made the pain go away and I would say Brandon’s session helped accelerate the recovery process! I continue to work with Brandon for my other injuries/pains and I’m seeing great results so far! He gives me exercises to work from home in addition to the in-person training, and these exercises help heal and prevent the pain from coming back. Comment: Came to Brandon for bilateral knee pain (runners knee) after a year of trying different things: no running, physical therapy (through insurance), pilates, injections, etc. Brandon was quick to assess and explain what was going on and what I needed to work on- better than any doctor ever did. His plan for me was a rehab/strengthening hybrid that focused not only on building muscle, but learning how to relieve stress on my knees through mobility work! We met once a week and he assigned workouts for the week through an app that made me accountable for completing them. Its the most consistent Ive ever been with working out. Not only have I gotten stronger overall, but my knee pain is much improved- Id say (hopefully) almost completely gone after 3 months of working with Brandon. This led to realizing I hadn’t any body awareness when doing my workouts.We started working in my overall flexibility, especially in my ankles and hips. Also, I started working on my core strength, which I didn’t have.We meet once a week and I also do 2 more workouts on my own for the rest of the week. I reached out to him letting him know what happened and he promptly got me in for an assessment. He was far different than my regular PT and he made such an impact that I made sure to stay in touch with him.He is honestly the best PT/trainer I have ever had the pleasure of working with! He CARES!When a person cares it shows in their work and everything that they do!
