Comment: Be prepared to pay a lot more than is quoted on the phone even if you give an accurate description.When the carpet cleaners got here, they quoted me a price of 200.00 over the price I was quoted on the phone. That is a huge discrepancy. The price over the phone was already over 100.00 more than the previous time I used them. I chalked that hike in price to inflation and was fine with that.I described to the person making the appointment a good description of the areas: two long hallways, 14 steps, a room the size of a two car garage. That is clear enough information for them to be able to give a good close estimate.I tried to reason with the owner, Jason about the price being so far from the estimate. He said he is not responsible for what she, the person who made the estimate, said.I almost stopped using them in the past because of the combative behaviors of the cleaners and disrespectful treatment of long time customers like me, that I wasnt comfortable with. Because I liked the nontoxic part and knew it would be clean, I overlooked the unprofessional part of the service and continued to use them.Today, I was told by the owner that they have lots of 5 stars and plenty of business and do not need me as a customer if I wont pay the price. Not only did they lose the job today, they lost a loyal customer who brought them some of that other business that they now have. I really needed my carpets cleaned today. However, I just cannot let a company treat me like this.

I was so impressed that I wanted to use them for myself. I have used them for my couches (trust me, get your couches cleaned often), rugs and some furniture that I have purchased second hand. They look brand new and smell delicious. Jeysin and his staff are the 3 P’s that I look for in a company: punctual, professional, and polite. I even get a newsletter from them which I enjoy. Comment: AMAZING. I’m so glad my neighbor gave me this referral! I had low confidence anyone could get these stains out of our light carpet, and they more than pleasantly surprised me. They even left me a phenomenal, proprietary carpet spot cleaner solution (with detailed instruction on how to use). Will never use Resolve again. Before and after photos speak for themselves. Besides the end result being enough reason to hire Peninsula - employees are clearly experts in the space and know how to communicate with non-experts, engage in Q&A, etc. They make sure upon departure you know exactly how to care for your carpet, post-clean. NOTE: “after” photos are one month after service.

I didn’t even want to sit on the floor ever, something I truly enjoy doing for some odd reason. After Peninsula Carpet Care I can feel fine sitting on the floor, I don’t look at my carpets and so “Ew gross”, anymore. They’re absolutely beautiful. I’m sure some stains may come back, but I think I will get them to come back in 6 months. I’m really truly happy with them, and they were so fast too.

He made sure to let us know what we could expect from the cleaning (we had some very tough areas), and recommended things we could do to help maintain the carpet afterward. He was very careful around our furniture as well. We had not had a thorough carpet cleaning in years, and it looked SO great afterward!! Peninsula uses non-toxic chemicals and no detergent, so we were greatly relieved that the process would not harm our pets (or cause allergies for us). Thank you Jayson and Peninsula Carpet Care!

The only reason I’m giving them a 4 star instead of 5 is because of the price. I paid a lot more than I normally do for carpet cleaning. I always like to give it a couple months after the carpets are cleaned to see if those nasty marks actually stay away, excited to see if the price difference was worth it.-- Amy K

I had carpets that looked like they needed to be replaced and after their hard work, I have a couple more years of life left in them! I also asked them to steam clean my bathroom tile floor that had years of gray grime. It took many rounds of work but the floor is back to white. Most cleaners would have done the normal once over. I do appreciated their care in doing the job right.

Comment: We have used Peninsula Carpet Cleaning services for the past 18 years and we would not use anyone else. Jayson and his team offer the best professional, efficient and thorough cleaning. I asked what the small tufts were on the surface of the carpet while they cleaned. Christian told me they use equipment that has a brush rotator/beater (my words) that pulls dirt, pet hair and dust from deep inside the carpet fibers up to the surface which is then vacuumed out. I was amazed and truly embarrassed to see how dirty our carpets were. Their cost is fair for the quality of work and positive end result. Our carpets are 20 years old and we always have pets. Every time Peninsula Carpet Care cleans Im guaranteed many, many months (even over a year) of satisfaction. Thank you.

Comment: I hesitate to call the service simply carpet cleaning since the service does way more then just restoring carpet to nearly new (I say nearly since my carpet is over 25 years old). I have dogs and at one time 4 cats, so most people understand that you cant prevent accidents with pets. I have used Peninsula for a number of years- at least 5- and every time they leave I look at my beautiful clean bright odorless carpets and think to myself- I really do not need to replace them yet. The guys are great- always on time or they call to warn of a delay (traffic mostly), they examine the spaces, ask questions, move furniture and then painstakingly clean every square inch. They take their time, pretreating trouble spots, and the solution they use really dries quickly- usually within an hour or 2 at most. I have used other services years ago, but I am convinced this is the absolute best!

The recent reviews with 1 star ratings dont make sense, especially the one about crazy high price that seems to suggest that the customer didnt know the price before Peninsula showed up to do the work. Anyone who doesnt know the cost of the job BEFORE the work is started probably shouldnt be in charge of doing anything involving money.

Prices are reasonable and competitive, and most importantly we have found the company to be very trustworthy. They use a specific cleaning method that removes and keeps stains away, and doesnt leave residue or any odors. Last year, at no charge, Jayson even stopped by a house we were temporarily renting while our home was being remodeled and helped us deal with a specific carpet issue regarding a pet. He was very helpful and refused to let us pay him for the 30 minutes he spent assessing the issue with his specialized UV equipment. We strongly recommend Peninsula Carpet Care to anyone looking for a highly competent, honest, and reasonably priced carpet cleaning company.

They are the ONLY company we have used more than once and at this point their number is in my contacts list as my husband is so critical that I prefer to have someone come in that I know he will be happy with. Jason was very clear about the prices and when I asked for a couch to be litely cleaned becuase of its age he was happy to adj the bill and concentrate on the areas were there was more traffic. He also said our carpet looked years younger than it was because of the care we took of it. And I have 3 teenage boys! I took a minute to look over the other reviews and they certainly do not represent my experience with Jason and their workers that have been to our house over the years. I suspect they are fradulent or from someone that is not able to communicate their needs or wants.

Comment: Not the cheapest but certainly the best cleaning service out there. They are the only ones that lived up to the promise of permanently getting rid of those tough stains. Others would come and clean my carpets and a month later, the stain would be back with a vengeance.UPDATE 07/11/2014:The first time they came to my house, they charged me $145 for my whole house (1 large livingroom/office area + 3 bedrooms). They did a great job, no complaints there. The carpet was clean and stayed clean for a good 2 months, which is a little better than my previous carpet cleaning guy. Having said that, the previous carpet cleaning guy only charges me $80 for my whole house. Thats $65 more, but I bought into all this talk about cleaning with all this natural products and not leaving any chemicals in the carpet.Last week, I called to have them come by and clean my house again. They showed up today, this time two guys showed up (one with a clipboard and another with a rolling measuring tape). They walked into my house saying, Ok, its going to be $0.50/sq foot and start measuring my living room. After they measured, the guy with the clipboard made the calculations and right way tells me, the living room is going to be $130. I was a little surprised since the previous time it was only $145 for the whole house, so I said something and it was as if they were playing good cop, bad cop. One guy says, we can call and talk to our boss, meanwhile the other guy is saying, no, no, our boss said to charge $0.50/sq foot. Then they went on to measure one of the bedrooms, which was completly empty and the good cop is like, we can charge you $0.35/square foot for this room since its completely empty and the other guy says, no the boss said $0.50/sq foot.Needless to say, I didnt do it. The quote to do the whole house came out to almost double what they charged me the first time. While their service is good, I cannot justify spending 3-4x more than what my previous guy charges. I guess Ill be calling my old carpet cleaning guy again, since Peninsula Carpet Care is more interested in making sure they turn a BIG profit off of every visit, instead of trying to keep a happy, repeat customer.

Comment: I had previously used carpet cleaners that offered deals through websites. While the deal was attractive, the job was shoddy. One week after the cleaning was done, the dirt always came back.I tried to Peninsula Carpet care when i saw a flier from them. It was worth trying their service. I believe the cleaning they do leaves no residue in the carpet thereby preventing dirt from sticking easily to the carpet.Also they are very professional in their service. I have had other cleaners spill cleaning solution on furniture, walls etc. I have had no such incident with Peninsula. They are very thorough in their service. They do not rush through the job.Lastly, they do not scam you. They offer services that they see as necessary.They would be the only cleaners I go to. Comment: My neighbor referred Peninsula Carpet Care to me about one year ago after I was complaining how my carpet got dirty so fast after cleaning. The company I was using uses a detergent that left residue and would therefore collect dirt.Peninsula does a thorough job of vacuuming first and then cleaning. After cleaning they brush the carpet to make it fluff like new. We received numerous comments from family and friends asking if we had our carpet replaced. They were amazed at how great our carpet looks.Peninsula may not be the cheapest, but for $50 more you get a first rate cleaning that will last longer than typical carpet cleaners.

This is a family business that we have used and recommended to friends for years.Once, we took care of a friends big dog while they were on vacation. He had a major digestive upset in the middle of the night that made a huge poopy mess on my pale gold carpet. Even he knew it was bad! I thought the rug was ruined. Peninsula came over right away and made it new again. No stain, no smell, no residue. It was amazing. They have cleaned rental carpet for us too and made it look wonderful. I first was impressed when I initially called to inquire and I got his voicemail announcement, it straight out said that if he didnt answer, it was because he was either working or engaged with a customer and wanted to show respect... I think I was sold then because of his ethics, but was absolutely, totally impressed with the thorough job he did on my 14 year old carpets that were long overdue for a professional cleaning. He wouldnt even let me help him move furniture, said it was his job and to please allow him to do it.. imagine that!? When you need to have your carpets cleaned, please consider this one... and anybody that knows me knows how picky I am.... Comment: Absolutely fantastic! I wish I could post a picture of the difference on the mattress. It was truly a vile disgusting select number bed the air beds themselves were sweat stained and the topper was brown all the way through. The bed was given to me. Half way through the cleaning I took a picture you can visibly see the clean and dirty sides of the mattress. There was some kind of stain on there that was a tough one he definitely made it much cleaner than it was. In the past he has done my furniture and rugs. And that it is a organic enzyme based cleaning makes me feel good, especially on Earth Day.Jayson can make you feel comfortable on your on furniture again. Keep an eye out for the coupons they help out a lot.

One day several years ago a man knocked on our door promoting his carpet cleaning service so we told him about the stubborn pee stain so he wanted to see the spot and after looking at it he then told us that he is almost positive that he can get rid of the stain and it will not come back. Outstanding service- a)timely response to inquiries; b) excellent carpet cleaning skills and up to the minute techniques; c) great follow-up.I was a loyal customer for over 20 years to another company and continued to have recurring spots, even though this carpet is only 3 years old. We spilled juice from Honey Baked Ham on our carpet.- needed to get that out IMMEDIATELY. My regular company couldnt come out for 10 days! I pulled out the flyer I had saved from Peninsula and called. They were out here the next day! The carpet looked like new. However, that Honey Baked Ham stain has been a real challenge. Jayson came back twice trying different techniques and it looks great. He has not charged me a dime for the follow up and refused my offer of payment for his service. On top of this Jayson taught me how to remove small spots that normally occur in between regular professional cleaning visits.Bottom line- Im sold!! Great service and Jayson and his helpers make it a very enjoyable experience.
