Comment: There are few experiences that EXCEED our expectations. Our ride with Marcel was one of them. To celebrate my wife Mimis 50th birthday, I arranged a trip to San Francisco, with a repositioning cruise back to our home in Vancouver BC. As Mimi is an avid rider (me not so much), I wanted to add a mountain bike day to our vacation. I found NorCal Flow online, and made contact with Marcel. We made all the necessary arrangements, including his recommendations of the local restaurants to consider (Tonys Pizza in North Beach was awesome!).Marcel picked us up at the hotel with the bikes already tuned to our size and skill. We headed north to the Muir Woods region. After our introduction to the full suspension e-bikes, we were off on our climb. Choosing the e-bike option was pivotal in fully enjoying the day. The climb was work, but very manageable. Once out of the woods when we reached the height of our climb, we were rewarded with views second to none. Then the real fun of the downhill begun. Marcel matched the terrain to my skill level perfectly. The ride down the hill was exhilarating, the views spectacular, and the weather was perfect. Once at the bottom, we regrouped after a snack and began the second route of the day, equally as good as the first.Providing reviews is not common for me. That said, the experience we had with Marcels guidance was worth sharing.We plan to fly to the Bay area again for another bike adventure with NorCal Flow who we 100% recommend if you are considering a mountain bike adventure!

Comment: My son wanted a rugged, outdoor adventure with a couple of buddies for his 16th birthday. Marcel took the teens on the Muir Woods trip, and they had a great time! They rode 11 miles and climbed 1,900 feet in elevation. Marcel showed up in a new Grand Toyota Highlander with four high-end mountain bikes. The seats moved up and down on the seat posts to absorb the shock of the ride, which is something I’d never seen before. Marcel provided helmets, gloves, water bottles, and plentiful and varied snacks for the crew. Pick-up and drop-off from home was a definite plus. The kids came back exhausted and thrilled, and Marcel taught them lots of new mountain biking skills. The boys really warmed up to Marcel and enjoyed his company for the day. Marcel also provided lots of great photos from the trip. 10/10 for a rugged, outdoor birthday party. Thank you, Marcel!

Comment: Amazing experience! True professional and great teacher. First time really mountain biking and cant wait to get back out and do it again. I did the Muir Woods trip. Highly recommend for the views and great trails. Also highly recommend the e bike, it is still a great workout.

Comment: On a recent return trip from Europe to NZ, I was lucky enough to get a day free to ride in San Fransisco. I was thankful I spent some time researching the right service as my time was short so I needed the best solution with someone who understands other mountain bikers.From the first contact with Marcel, I knew I’d found the answer with a feeling he had already worked out what I wanted and where we should go to make the most of limited time while showing me some true Californian trails.My day didn’t disappoint. From a perfectly curated loop of distance, technicality, views and bikes to great conversation and someone who genuinely has a passion for what they do and how they help you enjoy that passion.Their pick-up and drop off service plus top spec bike choices are the icing on the cake.Thank you Marcel! Comment: Last year my boyfriend and I were out visiting San Francisco area and really wanted to see the breathtaking views of the pacific as well as Muir Woods. After doing some research we came across NorCal Flow and decided to call to find out more. Marcel answered the phone right away and talked us through everything from who we are, are experience level and what we were looking for. By the end of the call we were super stoked and comfortable with the experience Marcel was going to put together for us.Fast forward a few weeks and Marcel was picking us up from our hotel on time and he had EVERYTHING! From the bikes, to water, to fuel and snacks for the ride, everything to get the bikes fitted to our liking, water bottles you name it! He clearly has done this a time or two. He even brought along a tow rope, which I was totally thankful for!The experience far exceeded our expectations! The trails he took us on were incredible an the views were a total added bonus! After 24 miles and about 4000ft of climbing (don’t be alarmed we asked for it specifically as we were very experienced riders) we had the BIGGEST smiles on our faces!!!Marcel made the entire experience from the first phone call to the last good bye the best experience we have ever had. He was extremely friendly, laid back and tailored EVERYTHING to what we needed and wanted. He was all for stopping to take pictures and finding the perfect shot for us too. Truly a delight.Needless to say, my boyfriend and I just finished up booking another trip out to San Francisco and booked Marcel and NorCal Flow for another amazing tour experience! Highly recommend giving them a call!

Comment: As a mountain bike beginner, NorCal Flow has given me the skills and confidence to ride some of the gnarliest trails the Bay area has to offer!So far, Ive been on two tours to the Marin Headlands and Mount Tamarrancho. Providing a door-to-door shuttle to the trail, a specd out electric mtb from High Trails Cyclery (highly recommend), and expert advice, instructors Marcel and Sandy created a welcoming environment that catered to my past experience and pushed me to level up my skill set.I look forward to my next tour with NorCal Flow and plan to bring a group of friends with me. Comment: I decided to take my little brother and get him out of the symphony hall. He had never been on proper mountain bikes and trails, and he fell in love with it. Our guide was well-cultured and an excellent instructor. He pushed us to do things we thought we couldnt do, gave us a new hobby and memories that would last a lifetime. I recommend this for any novice or experienced rider. We all bonded and had a great time on the e-bikes. We are in our early 20s and didnt know we could have this much fun together being complete opposites when we grew up. We will be back to shred some more.

Comment: One of the best mountain bike experience of my life!!! We visited San Francisco California, and contacted norcal flow, Marcel picked us up in a super nice truck and brought high end full Suspension carbon bikes, and all the gear!!we explained to Marcel that we were advanced rider looking for the best enduro style Trails with nice views of the Pacific Ocean, he pick up Pacifica and we rode: crack, xxx, 911, mile, two pines... Really amazing, an unforgettable experience, but definitely only experts, not recommend this trails for beginners or even intermediate.Excellent service, top quality bikes and great friendliness from all the staff and guides. I cant wait to go back to San Francisco for another fantastic tour with you. Maybe at the end of the year if God willing 🙏🏾. Grazie, saluti e alla prossima‼️🔥🚲🏞️

Comment: We wanted to go to Downieville to go mountain biking for our first time, and found Norcal Flow Mountain Bike Tours on a Google Search. What a great find! Marcel was a fantastic guide, he talked to us on the phone to get our background information (skill level, fitness level, riding interests), and then made a plan for us to do a multi-day tour. He has a rental unit in Downieville that we were able to rent, so it made the whole trip super easy as well.He guided us down the 16-mile downhill trails with a ton of really great advice and tips about riding, and we felt safe and confident that he knew his way around and had the ability to explain what we would be expecting in every section. We didnt have to waste any time trying to figure out where to go, or what was around the next corner. Over the next 3 days, we were able to explore the high sierras and all of the amazing riding in the area.He also took some really great videos and photos, and used the videos to show us how to improve our skills. He was great about checking in to make sure we felt comfortable and safe on the terrain, and most importantly, that were always having fun!We were able to enjoy the beautiful town of Downieville, and the rental was a short walk from the river and restaurants, so it was great to finish the rides, jump in the river and then go grab a beer and sit on the porch and enjoy the view.The trip was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and we hope to come back next year with a bigger group! Thank you, Marcel!
