Comment: I purchased my Essence of Australia wedding dress from Janeneʻs Bridal Boutique (Alameda location), who recommended Elegance Preserved (EP) for my dress cleaning and preservation services. Because these two already had a good rapport, EP honored a discount on the total amount, which was really nice. The whole process from initial inquiry through the EP website to pick-up and drop off was so easy and super smooth! The EP website FAQ was super informative and very helpful for a first-time (and hopefully only time) bride. Their customer service team was also top notch and very modern. No phone call with a specific person was necessary (although they do provide the option if you prefer); they were able to address my specific questions and scheduling all via text, email, or online chat on their website. All responses were very prompt if not immediate. Their step-by-step email (and text) instructions were super detailed; you can definitely tell that the whole team were super friendly, organized, and accommodating! They sent both text and email reminders the day before each dress pick up and drop off, and even gave a 10-20 minute status update/ETA. Rest assured, the whole EP team have done a phenomenal job from the beginning to end. My dress was form fitting with a long train. I expected that the cleaning and preservation would be much more than what I had actually paid. They provided a breakdown of each service once they had a chance to evaluate the dress and were true to what they initially quoted - no surprises. Thank you so much for also taking such great care of my dress throughout the whole process. I just opened the dress chest to inspect my dress (with the provided inspection gloves), putting a little more focus on the train, which was the dirtiest despite being securely bustled (since it dragged on the concrete floor the day and night of my wedding) - it not only looked super clean, it also had a distinct clean smell, which is as expected. Comment: I have nothing but good things to say about Elegance preserved! This was the best and most convenient wedding dress cleaning service out there. They picked up my dress from my home (Estee Dress by Lazaro which was purchased from Bridal Galleria in SF), assessed the worked, cleaned it, and dropped it off just like that! I didn’t have to go anywhere.Something I really appreciated too was the transparency on the cleaning process and quote process. It was nice because I never felt pressured to go with them and they let me take my time deciding on whether to move forward with the service. Dress cleaning is not cheap so it was definitely a decision!I ran into Elegance Preserved through a bridal expo and coincidentally enough my friend had used them to clean her Berta wedding dress. You can definitely trust them to take care of your gown with the utmost attention to detail. :)

A lot of the yellowing and some browning from being a sample, came out - and looked so new! They took huge attention to detail, calling me to warn of potential risks, and did spot testing prior to cleaning - I appreciated that transparency and responsibility - but I had nothing to worry about.Furthermore, they were so easy to work with - made it all simple. Comment: I found Elegance Preserved after purchasing my Netta BenShabu Eloise dress from Kinsley James in Walnut Creek, since Elegance Preserved is one of their recommended wedding dress cleaning and preservation companies. My dress is heavily beaded, so I knew it would require special care. After destroying the bottom of my dress running through a vineyard in Sonoma on my wedding day (still totally worth it) and getting drinks splashed on me on the dance floor, I reached out to Elegance Preserved to get it cleaned. I also ended up going with their wedding dress preservation, since it wasnt nearly as expensive as I expected it to be and is much better for storing the dress longer term. The bottom of my dress was full of dirt, ripped, and had foxtails stuck in every layer of tulle. Elegance Preserved made the process super easy, and most of our interactions were through text. The customer service team responded quickly to texts and emails. I live outside of the normal delivery/pickup radius, so I met them in Mill Valley. All I had to do was give them my dress and veil and that was it! I honestly was shocked that they didnt even ask for payment until they assessed the dress and started the cleaning process. Throughout the cleaning process, they even emailed me to talk about the estimated percentage of glitter loss on the glittery tulle that my dress had in some of the layers underneath. This made me laugh, but I really appreciate their attention to detail and care. I just got my dress back this week and its packed beautifully and looking brand new. They worked some magic and I would recommend Elegance Preserved to anyone who needs a dressed cleaned and cared for. Especially a great company to work with if your dress has a lot of beading or glitter.

Comment: Elegance Preserved did a beautiful job cleaning my Lazaro (style 3805) dress. It’s a heavily beaded dress with lots of layers and they were very careful with it. It came out looking pristine! I knew they worked with the boutique I purchased the dress from (Bridal Galleria) which made me confident they would take care of my dress. Plus, they have wonderful reviews! I really appreciated their free pick-up and drop-off service (you get this for the free estimate service even if you decide not to go with them, but I’m glad I did). It was convenient and quick. They implemented it during the start of Covid-19 and have kept it up - such a nice idea! The team was communicative on text/email and very kind. They even offered a promotion to lower the cost. My dress is full of such special memories and I’m so happy they did such an amazing job!

So I asked the dress to be sent back to me.Elegance Preserved insisted that they had not touched the dress. But when I received the dress, my original Vera Wang hanger was missing, the dress support was missing and there was a suspicious liquid stain on my dress.When they finally sent a Vera Wang hanger back to me, it wasn’t my original one either. But they insisted that my dress was the only Vera Wang in their store so there were no other hangers. They were quick to respond to my questions, sent kind, non-intrusive follows ups when it took me a while to respond (there’s so much to do post-wedding!), and did a great job with my Maggie Sottero dress and detachable sleeves. I don’t live in a pick up area, so they mailed me a box to send my dress in and let me know when they received it. When my dress was done it was mailed directly to me, with a signature required and a tracking number given to me. I was very stressed about finding a way to get my dress cleaned and preserved and they did an amazing job! I found them through google, and with something as precious as my wedding dress I wanted to know it would be safe. So if you are reading through these reviews in the same boat I was, go for it! They were able to provide a quote from photos and the actual price ended up being within the price range. I did take some time, but they also let me know the time frame beforehand and stuck to it. I will be recommending them to everyone!

After the wedding, I began researching cleaning/preservation services, and Elegance Preserved was recommended to me by my bridal shop, Marina Morrison. Their price was also reasonable, and I liked that they are local, and I didnt have to send my dress across the country.I mostly communicated with Olivia and Kate, and they are SUPER communicative and responsive on text, email, and phone, and unlike some other service providers, they continue to be responsive and helpful to me even after Ive paid for the cleaning and received my dress back.My dress is a Mira Zwillinger, which is handmade and has several layers and an intricate lace appliqué. I was nervous about sending it out, but they did a fantastic job with the cleaning. The dirt and grass stains (my wedding was at a winery) are completely gone from the hem of the dress and it looks brand new. My dress was the first wedding purchase that I made, and I love it. Given how expensive the wedding dress was, I really wanted to make sure that it was taken care of, and it was. I still havent decided on whether I want to preserve it yet, and if I do, Elegance Preserved will be my first call!The pick up and drop offs were a breeze, and its so nice to not have to worry about shipping dresses out! The quote process was also super simple and the customer service is just top notch. Olivia and Kate have been so nice, understanding, and helpful, and even gave me promotions that could help with lowering the cost of the cleaning. Comment: It was a challenge researching the best dress preservation company to trust to take good care of my wedding dress. I ultimately landed with Elegance Preserved. I found them through Google searches and read through a lot of reviews. Upon initial interaction, they responded the quickest of all quotes I reached out for, and the most detailed in the process. They are super friendly and have a pick-up and delivery service FREE OF CHARGE. They pick-up your dress after deciding a date and time with you, and examine it to provide a detailed quote. I really appreciated that they provide a free estimate because you decide to go with them or not. Elegance Preserved also has a texting service to communicate with them which made things so much easier for me. It took a few months to finalize, and I paid around $428 for the whole thing in two separate transactions (deposit & remaining). It is a bit costly, but the delivery/pickup service, attentiveness, and quick responses are worth it.Some details about my dress:- Designer & Boutique: Lace & Liberty (in San Francisco)- Multiple layers of tulle and silk with a lace and mesh top portion- a bit heavyI highly recommend if you live in the Bay Area. After having such a wonderful experience at Tailor Maid in San Francisco for alterations, they recommended Elegance Preserved to have both my daughter & daughter-in-loves gowns cleaned.Both girls changed shoes so they could dance the nights away & needless to say their hems were pretty dirty. Special shoutout to Olivia who helped me along the way. She was responsive and professional. She also shared honest feedbacks. After testing my dress for restoration, she informed me that stains on the dress and discoloration would come off because of the age and silk material of the dress, and might be better off getting the top layer replaced, rather than getting it restored. This gave me an impression that they (as a business) are look out their customers best interests, even if that might mean no business for them. It is a little pricy (I had a Mori Lee dress that had a lot of lace and a train), but it is well worth the cost to me. I wouldve been devastated if I had let my dress sit in the closet and get dirty and yellow. Its now preserved as a forever memory of the happiest day of my life!The Elegance Preserved team has excellent customer service. Because I live in the North Bay, I met at a point half way to drop my dress off. I received an email notification when my dress arrived at their shop. It took about 10-11 weeks to get it cleaned and preserved. When my dress was finished, they couriered and hand delivered my dress (in the rain!!). My Mom and I probably said this to each other on 3 separate occasions. I never once worried about my dress, or the process, because the team is so good at building trust. Theyre so nice and so knowledgeable. I got a gorgeous Carolina Herrera ball gown for the wedding and she was BIG. She was also a very special silk material that had to be carefully cleaned. I knew I couldnt rely on some regular cleaning shop for a gown like this. Huge bonus, the team from Elegance Preserved does home pick up and drop off. Yes, they literally come to your house! So you dont have to lug your big beautiful dress around. Pick up and drop off were COVID friendly, with mask, and gloves, very professional. Comment: The experience I had with Elegance Preserved was pretty exceptional and INCREDIBLY meaningful. I had a last minute dress ordered from BHLDN and the amount of wrinkles in it were endless. Worse, I procrastinated til the last minute to find a way to fix it, was absolutely oblivious to the general wedding prep process, and on top of that... I was very a new resident to the bay area and had no idea who to contact. I cold called around (and was quickly dismissed by many), but when Sean answered the phone – he talked me through the process and encouraged me to come in to assess the dress/situation. When I brought the dress in, he spent the time seeing if he could quickly fix it on the spot - we both realized that was a no-go, so he quickly got on the phone and confirmed that one of his partners could fix it despite it being both closing time and a holiday weekend. To confirm it could get fixed in time, he personally handled the delivery and confirmation for me to receive the final pressed dress. Needless to say, the end result was fantastic and he made a very special day that much more special for me and my partner. As a COVID-19 bride my wedding definitely did not go as planned. After 3 postponements (original Wedding date 3/28/20) and a disaster where my original wedding invitations got stolen from the Post Office (true story) I was VERY skeptical about mailing my dress across the country to be cleaned for my reception this July. I bought an inexpensive Lulu’s dress for my overseas elopement and thought I would just toss the dress out while we were travelling. I loved my dress so much that I carried it around for 4 weeks because I knew Elegance Preserved could get the red clay dirt and mascara out of my white dress, even after weeks of being stained. They did a beautiful job cleaning my dress. It is good as new! I plan on wearing it again for a ceremony at city hall, so I was definitely excited when I saw how clean Sean and his team had gotten it.I would also highly recommend their preservation services. As a wedding gown tailor, I have seen dresses come back from other cleaners that we’re destroyed. On multiple occasions, brides got back dresses that weren’t even the same color. Even from across the country (I live in New York City), the process was simple and their customer service was flawless.I purchased my wedding gown from the Sarah Seven Flagship store in New York City. The first time I saw my dress (Sarah Sevens Kir gown) on Instagram I knew it was the one- I just felt it! And I could not have been happier with how my dress looked on my wedding day. After a night of dancing at our rooftop reception, my dress was super dirty. Sarah Seven recommended Elegance Preserved above all other companies- even local ones in NYC. At first, I wondered how sending my dress (and handmade lace cathedral length veil) across the country would work but let me tell you, it was even easier than using a local service. Elegance Preserved did a quote online using photos of my dress that I emailed them. It was super thorough! Then, they sent me all the shipping materials which made it so, so easy. Comment: The first dress I ever tried on was the dress I picked for my wedding (Rosemary from Amy Kuschel) at Amys Boutique in San Francisco. My dress was definitely one of the major highlights for me. The wedding was fantastic, but the dress and veil did not come out unscathed. I had flower pollen, lipstick and a lot of dirt and grime at the bottom of my dress since it was drizzling that day. Also, I happened to accidentally step on my veil and slightly ripped it.Because my dress was important to me, I had to make sure that it was preserved correctly. I actually found Elegance Preserved online and decided to go with them because of their professionalism and wonderfully detailed website. Making the request and dropping off the dress was super easy! The onsite store in San Francisco was really easy to find and theres plenty of metered parking nearby. The store front is small, but its clean and inviting. You can tell by walking in that your dress will be taken care of. You simply drop off your dress and wait a few months to allow them to clean the dress. It seems like forever, but its well worth the wait!They contact you during the process to check-in and make sure you are okay with the cleaning and if there are any repairs that need to be made. I was a little nervous about picking the veil because they had indicated that there might be a noticeable line where the veil ripped. However, I picked up the dress and they did a quick unboxing to show what it looked like. I cant say anything else but WOW! I remember that my dress was a little yellow on the bodice from flower pollen, a lipstick stain on the top back button and a ton of dirt on the train. All of that was gone! It looked brand new! Also, while they warned me that there would be a slight line on the veil repair, you could barely see it.I highly recommend Elegance Preserved. They did an amazing job. You can definitely trust them to take care of one of the most important pieces of your wedding.

Trudy’s sets the standard for local bridal retail and I was thrilled – if not overwhelmed – by the variety they offer, but this gown was the clear winner. After purchasing my dress (and a complementary veil) I decided I wanted to customize it with beading, which involved very delicate handiwork.Our wedding venue included a large lawn area and redwoods, and the foliage and groundcover necessarily tugged at and soiled my dress during the photo sessions. Fortunately, I managed to not inflict significant damage or incur notable stains, but when all was said and done my once pristine dress and veil needed some loving attention to revive them.I had looked online for top-rated gown preservation companies and Elegance Preserved was a prominent staple in all of my searches, after having applied filters aligned with my very high standards for cleaning and preservation. I had intended to attend to my dress with as little fuss and effort as possible, so as much as I had wanted to inquire with Elegance Preserved I first exhausted all local options.Each and every preservation location I visited was either not equipped for the kind of careful cleaning and preservation I was searching for or didn’t even offer these services! Comment: Like most brides, I spent a lot of time choosing my wedding dress and wanted to make sure that when I chose a vendor to preserve it, I wanted a company that knew what they were doing. I found Elegance Preserved on Yelp and was very impressed with their website and customer service. My dress was a Pronovias Druida and had very intricate lace and beading in the fabric. They did an amazing job cleaning the bottom of my dress as it got especially dirty as I walked across a golf course for photos on my wedding day.Working with them was easy from the moment I called to ask questions, dropped off my dress, received email updates on the status of my dress to pick-up. He ultimately advised me to go with EP because of their great reputation. And I am so HAPPY that he suggested them because they did excellent work. The shop was super clean and tidy. My husband and I got married at the end of May 18 I wore a Christina Wu fit and flare ivory lace dress with a sweetheart neckline. I first saw this dress at a boutique called Renfros in downtown Placerville CA. Five years ago one of my best friends was getting married and this dress was there. I remember seeing it and falling hopelessly in love with it. Thankfully I took a picture of the dress so when I started wedding dress shopping I would show this dress to the boutique consultants but everything they brought me was not quite right. After trying a couple of boutiques in the area I finally called the boutique and asked them for this dress. I was a bit afraid they would not have it but they did! so I made an appointment and hoped that my wedding dress search was over. The day came for my appointment and the dress was perfect and the price was right... after that I did not look back. Unfortunately, the boutique closed shortly after I received my dress due to a personal family matter. My dress was only dirty from the bottom and on the train, I was so afraid that they werent going to be able to get it clean but they did an excellent job. Comment: I bought my Hayley Paige Londyn gown and Peter Langner cathedral veil at Kleinfeld. By the end of my wedding my gown had a lot of dirt on the hem and my veil had dirt all over the satin trim. I dropped my gown and veil off at the Mulberrys by my house to be taken in to be cleaned. I needed to have my gown cleaned before I could take it to my seamstress to be repaired. Once it was repaired I brought the gown and veil back to be preserved. My gown was as white as it was when I first got it. I had noticed my veil did not look washed at all, so when I brought it back to be preserved I mentioned that. They washed it again and it looked much better. Elegance preserved did a great job, had comparable prices to everywhere else I found, and were very easy to work with. Their SF location was super easy to park at, which was really helpful since my gown was difficult to carry. I also love that they will re-box my gown if I ever take it out. Dropoff and pickup took less than 5 minutes and involved almost no paperwork. I received regular email updates and a couple of calls during the 3 months they had my dress. The dress was ready a week earlier than estimated. The total cost was $504.When they showed me the dress, my husband and I were both surprised by how sparkly it was. (I dont think there was any special lighting in the store playing tricks on my eyes.) My husband commented that it looked newer than when I bought it and wore it.They even took a couple of gold (!!) Polaroids of us to commemorate our final wedding errand.The preserved dress is very well packaged with layers of tissue inside a large museum box that has a washable cotton muslin cover. White gloves are included for handling the dress. If you ever unpack the dress and dont feel comfortable repacking it yourself, you can bring the dress back to them to repack for free.Their work is also guaranteed through the Association of Wedding Gown Specialists, so if they ever go out of business, the association will guarantee re-cleaning and preservation if any issues arise in the future.

Comment: We took my Wedding Dress to Elegance Preserved for cleaning after they were recommended by the boutique we bought from And Something Blue. The dress had tanning lotion stains on the inner lining and a lot of dirty marks on the bottom of the skirt. Elegance Preserved did a great job of explaining the cleaning process to us and keeping us updated on how it was going throughout the process.My dress is made by Delphine Manivet, Sansone Dentelle and is quite delicate - a full lace gown with a V neck and back and 3/4 lace sleeves.When I came to the store to pick up my dress, it was presented to me looking good as new. The only stain that did not fully lift out was a light watermarking stain on the inner lining. I was happy with the results, especially since I waited 3 months after my Wedding before getting it cleaned. I was worried that after this amount of time the stains would be difficult to release. Elegance Preserved did a great job of cleaning my dress without risking damage to it. I would highly recommend their services for cleaning delicate and precious items.Finally, the staff at Elegance Preserved are really kind and gave us a lot of great tips when we went in to the store. They even let us use their photography station to photograph my dress in the case that I would like to put it up for sale in the future.

We purchased the gown and veil at Kinsley James in Walnut Creek, California a beautiful wedding dress boutique with knowledgeable, happy, and helpful personnel. We love them! Elegance Preserved picked up the gown from Kinsley James where they preserved the dress an veil at two thirds of the estimated price and turned the dress around in a day due to schedule opening; and delivered it back to Kinsley James the very next day! Talk about service!! I found Elegance Preserved via an online search, Kinsley James recommended them as well so I knew my dress was in the right hands. Everyone I worked with at Elegance Preserved were incredibly patient, friendly, and helpful guiding me through the process of what I needed to do to prep my dress for alterations prior to my wedding. What couldve been a very daunting task was actually really fun. I found it extremely helpful that someone followed up with me after my initial conversation. With so much to plan, and regular life activities to keep on top of, this was a nice reminder of what I needed to do and that the Elegance Preserved team wanted to make it as easy as possible. Communication alone is half the battle and the process at Elegance Preserved took a lot of that work off my shoulders. I dropped my dress off in Palo Alto because its difficult for me make it to San Francisco. However, once I finally made the trip to San Francisco to pick up my dress I was a little bummed I hadnt visited sooner. The staff was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and the shop in a great location for me to spend the afternoon. Comment: I purchased my Sareh Nouri dress at the Vows Outlet in Watertown, MA where I live. I grew up in Belmont, CA, and was married in Sonoma, so my mom learned about Elegance Preserved through Mulberrys & Greenstreet Cleaners in Belmont. I also did some independent research, and came to the same conclusion as other reviewers, that Elegance Preserved was the best place to get my gown cleaned and preserved. Sean talked us through the entire process, and explained the reason that a very small area, from the underneath part of the train, was not able to be removed. He understands fabric and is extremely conscious of preserving the integrity of the gown by not over-treating the fabric. I am very happy with the results, and would highly recommend them!

She looked amazing in it!Our wedding was at an old presidio in California. There was a lot of dust and dirt from the onset. This only became worse as the day continued. By the time the event was over it was ruined or so we thought.My wife scoured Yelp and Google and found Elegance Preserved. Theyre convenient drop off locations (multiple) made it easy for us to hand it off. Theyre quote was precise and informed us on the condition of the dress and estimated cost.When we went to the Elegance Preserved we were happy with the results. It was not a perfect recovery but 99% there. I guess some of our happy day just didnt want to leave. They provided a wonderful box to store it in. Now it sits for hopefully another generation.

Comment: Id previously had a really bad experience with another dry cleaners in the city, so finding Elegance Preserved was a miracle for me. I got my dress from Loho Bride and it was a Bo & Luca sample that was super, super dirty and had stains all over the skirt, but it was my favorite thing I tried on at all three places I went, and it was super affordable, so I went for it. Elegance made it a risk worth taking as they got everything out and the dress looks beautiful now. Diane was super, super reassuring and helpful throughout the process, the dropoff location was super convenient for me, and they finished two weeks earlier than theyd estimated. Although we had tents, the ground was muddy and there was plenty of time I had to duck out of the shelter of the tents. By the end of the night, my dress was soaked and slate gray a from the bottom of the dress to nearly my knees. I thought for sure there was no way to save my Janelle dress by Maggie Sottero. If you are familiar with the dress, youd know that it has a ton of beading on delicate tulle.A few days after the wedding I found Elegance Preserved by talking to Trudys in Campbell (where I got the dress) and talked to Diane on the phone. She assured me that they could take care of my dress. In the rainy madness of the night, I lost my garment bag, so I dropped off my dress in a garbage bag. They quickly assessed the dress and gave me a quote.Two months later I got an email with photographic proof that my was clean as new. I was shocked! Luckily they had because a week after our wedding our apartment for mold and it ended up in the seems of my dress just that one week! I was really worried about leaving my wedding dress at a cleaners because you always hear all of these horror stories about the dress being destroyed, but Greenstreets Couture was a dream to work with. Suzanne, the wedding dress consultant, was so nice and helpful. She told me about the whole process and assured me that my dress would be in good hands. After approving my quote (they email it to you about a week after you drop off the dress), I received regular emails detailing what was happening to my dress through every step of the process -- it really made me feel comfortable knowing they were actually working on my dress. When I picked up my preserved dress, I was so surprised to see how beautiful it looked. I dropped my gown off and they provided me with a quote within a couple of days. The gown was completed early-- well before the estimated date. Even though I was out of town, they had no problem holding on to the gown for a couple of extra weeks. I had some staining on the hemline of the dress that they completely got out. Comment: I purchased my wedding dress from Sarah Seven in Chicago. When it came time to clean the dress, Sarah Seven recommended using Elegance Preserved. I was concerned because their operations were not local, but they made the process SO easy! Not only were they excellent at communicating and diligently tracking my wedding dress as it was shipped (even sending me tracking updates), they also were very clear in their communication of cost and services. I had a lot of dirt on the bottom of the dress and spray tan stains (especially around the armpits), and the dress came back in excellent condition. I cannot recommend Elegance Preserved enough!!
