Comment: Has anyone else experienced Cleaners LA losing their tailoring (was apparently stolen from their van) and then not being compensated whatsoever or even received a response with updates on the insurance claim they said they had made? Comment: Vilman saved my life! I had a bridesmaid dress altered at another location in downtown, to only get back home and see they botched the whole job. I was so upset and concerned about the state of my dress as I had less than 48 hours before my flight to get it fixed! Vilman fixed my dress and was clearly knowledgeable about tailoring! I will only be coming here going forward!

Comment: I have been going to their dry cleaning shop since I moved to DTLA. The bosss service attitude is very good and the people are very nice. The clothes were washed very clean. Once there was a very small stain that didnt come out, and after talking to the boss, he took it back for me and cleaned it again. What’s particularly surprising is that they also wash shoes, which is perfect for people like me who don’t want to throw their shoes in the washing machine or wash them by hand. The price is also very reasonable, and under normal circumstances you can get clean clothes back within a week. I highly recommend friends who live downtown to try this dry cleaning shop!

Comment: Hell yes! I work in the service industry and have my terribly coffee stained pants cleaned here regularly. They do 2nd cleaning on house in case the stains don’t come out. For me that’s a big deal because my cloth has never come back in this condition before. Thank you!

Comment: Needed a new dry cleaner recently and went to this place because it was only a few blocks away. I usually bring 2-3 shirts to a new place first as a test before I start bringing everything. These guys were GREAT. My dirtiest shirts are looking a lot better now. I took two more larger loads and was happy each time. The same guy helped me each time and he was really nice, great customer service. I like the decor, too, the instruments and the globe and everything else. Great downtown dry cleaners!

Comment: Came here because the reviews looked good but the work didn’t feel like it was worth 5 stars.I paid $5 per shirt to be ironed and pressed so there are no wrinkles but half of them had the wrinkles…I will pass and go somewhere else if possible

Comment: First of all, I brought my clothes here twice I noticed after I let this cleaners clean my clothing it still has stains. It’s not as clean as we just left the cleaners it’s like I washed it myself. Overprice! I notice blue sneakers that been sitting on the shelves for days maybe months like nobody wants. I see why they just been sitting there they are probably ruined shoes like mine! I brought my off white kicks and my Christian Louboutin to be clean! My Offwhite laces are turning colors! And my shoes look off blue and it’s white! Don’t being your things if it’s if value. Now the guy don’t answer my car don’t text me back about my shoes he just talk about replacing my laces you cannot replace off-white laces. You have to buy the shoes all over again off-white do not just fill the laces for certain kicks. I only wear the shoes once both ! Poor service overprice, cheap, cheap cheap

I have been bringing precious vintage pieces to them since 2016. Were literally friends now. The new location in the Arts District is a dream. Much easier to get to and park, which was the only downside to this delightful place before. Looooove them.

Comment: They are happy to take your money but as soon as there is an issue they are unresponsive with a solution. They ruined a shirt I sent to them for dry cleaning. They even sent me a picture of the shirt before they dry cleaned it and I sent them pictures after I got it back. Basically had evidence of the damage. They could have easily worked with me to resolve it, instead no response. I have spent hundreds of dollars with them- customer service is not included!

Comment: Giving an extra star for their alterations, which although take a long time, are done well. However, I’ve now come to realize they’ve shrunk a few of my sweaters, which were very expensive. They’re now completely ruined. It’s as if they just laundered them… which I can do at home— but I take them to professional cleaners because they have the equipment to do it properly. I won’t be coming back.They also ask for tips, which is tacky.

Comment: These guys have been my go-to cleaners for a while now. They seem to do a lot of commercial work but theyll do your personal clothes too. Picture an industrial chic lobby and helpful, friendly staff. Theres easy street parking nearby but be aware that its a rough corner of downtown.

I dropped off a very good quality (hugo boss) suit for dry cleaning a few weeks ago and got it back and several of the buttons were damaged. While I understand that no business is perfect, this cleaners did not even so much as apologize, take responsibility, or offer to fix it. Instead the guy working there blamed hugo boss, blamed me, and offered to fix it for a fee if I could go to hugo boss and find the buttons. I will not be returning and neither should you.

Comment: Took so long to post a review because I just wanted to let this issue go, but winter is coming and I am still angry about what happened a year ago! I came here because of the good reviews and my apartment building also referred me to this place. I took 4 jackets that had oil on them and the guy that was there was very nice, he told me that if they cant get out the stains, the bill was going to be free. Next time I came in, the owner was there and I told him about what the other guy told me and said that that wasnt true, so I said ok whatever, it happens. they took so long to clean the jackets but wasnt a problem because it was summer so I wasnt going to use them at that moment. Came to pick the 4 jackets and I was surprised that the bill was huge! Most of the oil came off of the jackets, but you can still see some stains.. Anyway winter came and I wore one of the jackets, as soon as I wore the jacket, my face was turning red! I had a huge burn in my face! I had to remove the jacket because it was burning so bad. I went to Cleaners La after what happened to talk to the owner and explain the situation, I ask him if he used chemicals to clean the jackets because my jacket burn my face, and he said no, that their products were all natural and he seem mad with an attitude and confused, repeating the same stuff all over again. He didnt resolved anything! didnt apologize, nothing!I am beyond mad because I cant use any of my jackets, every time I try them on I get burns, and my skin is not that sensitive. I feel like I got scammed and lied by the owner, of course they use chemicals if the products burn your face!Never going back again and I will recommend to save yourself time and money and go somewhere else.

They were even nice enough to see me even though I didn’t have an appointment. Had no problem squeezing me in. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for alterations/tailoring in the DTLA area. Comment: I am shocked that this place has so many positive ratings.. I dropped off my suede jacket to be cleaned, and explained to the woman working there that I found them because it said they specialized in leather cleaning. She reassured me, said they send their leather products to a specialist and that sometimes spot cleaning is done, or they might end up cleaning the whole thing. I said thats fine, I just really want it taken care of properly. she said it would be ready in a week, which seems kinda long, but to send out I understand.. I show up a week later at the end of the day and she tells me they havent even started on the jacket and that it was just sitting upstairs. this was extremely alarming because then she said it would be done in 2 days... I should have taken the jacket right then and gone somewhere else, but unfortunately I did not... now there is a black mark that looks like they rubbed the material raw where the one spot was that I wanted cleaned, and another one to follow.. I thought about going back and dressing the issue, but seriously... what will these people do? im furious.. the young man at the counter was nice and I had not seen him before, so I felt bad complaining to him because it obviously was not his fault... so I basically paid these people for an inconvenient experience, and for them to rub a black hole in a brand new suede jacket...
