He kept at it all afternoon (sorry, man, I should have gotten a warning to you about how long it had been since wed had this done) and wrapped up without a trace of ever having been there except for the immaculate roof and gutters. He did a great job and Big Wave has excellent pricing, so it really felt like a value. Shoutout to the office/dispatch for getting him out the same day there was another issue that most other places would have used as an excuse to just push the appointment. Clay arrived on time and once we walked through the house and saw all the windows he immediately got to work. He was great. He informed us of anything he found such as a tear in our screens or scratches on the window. Things that we didnt notice unless you look ed real close. Afterwards, Clay made sure to take me on a walkthrough to show me all the windows and actually noticed a smudge on the window that I couldnt see but he took care of it right away. A gentleman named Breaux came out with a 2nd person (sorry lost his name) and it was perfectly done.Most important is the attention to detail. I have a lot of expensive stuff in my house and I get nervous when I see people run around. They are super careful. Great team.Ill also mention I had another company do my windows and they used soapy water and no DI or SOMETHING. Whatever the problem, it left fogging and I knw that can happen if windows are dual-glaze and over 10 years old. Not with these folks.

Comment: I am really disappointed. We spent over $900 to have the windows in our 2800 sq ft. home washed prior to a photo shoot for listing our home for sale. Because we have a two story home I thought it better to hire a professional even though it was a lot of money, rather than have our housekeeper do it for us. The man who came was very nice and cheerful with a happy attitude. He said he loved his job. So I felt confident he was going to do a great job and left him to it. But when he finished there were streaks and residue on more than 1/2 the windows. I didn’t see how streaked they were until he was gone. I took photos of how they looked and called the office at Big Wave Window right away. The woman who answers their phone was short with me and told me to send the photos via email and if they thought the windows weren’t clean enough they would send someone out the following week to fix them. I explained that pictures were being taken the next day and that was why I scheduled the cleaning when I did so they would be freshly cleaned and sparkling. She said she couldn’t do anything about it because they were fully booked the next day but to send the pictures anyway.I did but it didn’t help me with the photos and when I spoke to her again she said I had only paid for the basic cleaning. I hadn’t paid for the “after construction” package. I explained we didn’t have any construction except in the kitchen, but it had nothing to do with the windows and those windows were the least of the problem anyway. She was just plain rude and completely uninterested or unconcerned with the fact that I had just spent $900 and could have used some Windex and the garden hose and the windows would have looked about the same. I may be wrong but at $900+ I didn’t know I would need to “pay extra” to actually have my windows clean. I suggest if you are thinking about using Big Wave Window you look elsewhere.

Comment: Great experience with the team. After reaching out for a quote, I had someone stop by to review the property and provide an estimate. We have a tall home with a fair number of windows and a lot of spider webs. On the day of service, we worked with Cole, who was communicative about his arrival time and how he was going to go about cleaning the building. I was able to re-advise what we needed accomplished, so it was helpful that I worked from home and could check in. He spent a couple hours on the house and it looks so much better than prior to the service, even on the third level, which is tough to reach. Well definitely be working with the company again.

Comment: I really wanted to give Big Wave Window an excellent review, but the best I can do is fairly good. I was disappointed that only 1 person was going to be cleaning the windows as we have a lot of them in a large house. The owner had said that the person would be at our home most of the day, but he was at our house for 3-1/2 hours, which we didnt feel was long enough to do an excellent job. The young man said he had another job pretty far away after ours and he commented that he worked fast, implying it would not be a problem. I will say that I think part of the problem is the technicians need to be trained better. The problems: screens are only wiped with a dry cloth (should be washed at the least with a wet cloth), insides of windows were not cleaned well, kitchen window openings full of debris and leaves, knobs for turning screens - many werent replaced, black water dripped on 2 places on our fairly new carpeting, due to no drop cloth being used for high places inside, and the water in a dispenser they wear wasnt changed nearly enough so windows being wiped with dirty, black water. Then when I left a message for the owner of Big Wave to call me, several days passed and when another person called me for the payment, they were surprised that I had left a message for the owner to call me.

Their equipment broke down early on in the process but they were prepared to pivot to hand-washing the windows and did a very thorough job of cleaning the windows. They pulled a lot out of stuff out of the gutter too. The exterior power/pressure washing was less noticeable, but maybe it wasnt very dirty to begin with; prices just worked out favorably for us to add that as a service. Comment: Big Wave has a beautiful website, replete with huge promises (including a Gotta Love It guarantee), very professional representatives/sales people—which only made the actual experience that much more exasperating, disappointing and, frankly, angering.WHAT WENT WELL: All employees were courteous and respectful. I was able to reach the owner by phone on the day of service.WHAT WENT WRONG:1) BWW underestimated either the scope of the job or the ability of the workman—or both—. Our restored craftsman has many double-hung, multi-pane and casement windows, some stretching the length of walls, as in the second-story bedrooms and office. One worker (who was delayed an hour past the scheduled arrival time) and was as unfocused and careless as J proved to be was insufficient.2) The service provider, J, spent the first two hours, dividing his focus between the work and chatting to a family member (I finally asked), sometimes walking in circles while he chatted, before refocusing on the work. Though I usually give workers some space to work independently, the quality of Js work and his lack of focus prompted me to check the work already done. I found some sills still dirty, though the screens had been replaced, and the corners of all of them still full of accumulated grime.3) Unlike other service providers Ive used, BWW does not routinely wash screens, only dusts them off—insufficient after 19 months of accumulated grime from Santa Ana winds, etc.4) I had to call the owner twice with my concerns before he sent out their general manager, L, to assess the situation and assist in getting J off the phone and the job back on track.5) BWW does not appear to have a uniform standard of service across the company. The difference between the work of J and L was shocking. L worked independently, efficiently, thoroughly. J needed to be redirected to work, supposedly completed, to do it thoroughly. For example, when L came to the front door to collect payment at just before 7 pm, I had to inform him that most of the second story windows on one side had been overlooked. After theyd finished the forgotten windows, L returned for the check. We thanked him again for turning things around and for Js stepping up his game. Ls response was to assure us that J was one of [their] best workers (?!)In the end, the exterior windows and screens were properly cleaned; but this was largely due to Ls rolling up his sleeves and pitching in to assist J and my pitching in to help oversee the details of the work until it was completed.6) I wish this were the end of the saga. However, two days after service, I discovered that either J or L had left the water on at two of the outdoor spigots—but shut each hoses open/close valve, so that the water kept building and building inside. . .Not only were both my new auto-retract hoses ruined, but 10s of gallons of water was wasted—in drought stricken CA—and I can only imagine what our next PWP bill will look like!7) Since the day of service about 10 days ago, no one at BWW has followed up with me or responded to messages I have left on the owners voicemail—not even those requesting replacement of my hoses. To test a theory, I submitted an online request for new service. Within moments I received an email response and then shortly afterwards a live call from an employee of BWW to sign me up. Apparently, they are eager to sign up new customers, but couldnt care less about the current customers with unresolved issues—despite the companys Gotta Love It guarantee, highlighted in bold lettering and color on their website.As I have written in other reviews, the true measure of a company is taken, not when everything goes well, but when—especially when—the job goes sideways. How does the company respond then? How does it treat those customers?By this measure, BWW failed us miserably

Based on their work then, I had them return this week to clean the exterior windows of my two-story townhome. Again, I had an exceptional experience. Jaime was prompt in his arrival, thorough and professional in his work, and very friendly. He was diligent in cleaning window panes, screens, and even window tracks. Since its been 5 years since the gutters were installed, it was long overdue to have them cleaned right! So when I saw positive reviews from other locals I thought Id give Big Wave a try. Consult was quick and easy. Price was what I expected. And scheduled based on what worked with my schedule. They showed me how they walked on the roof and did an excellent job of cleaning the panels using de ionized water which leaves no water spots.

Comment: I called on a Tuesday afternoon and was told that I could have someone out to my vacant unit the following day, I just needed to sign a contract. I told the women on the phone that unless the charge was excessive it would be fine since there were only about 10 windows on a single story small unit. They sent the bid and I signed it but I didn’t realize they put the first available date out by 2 weeks and I couldn’t wait since my unit was vacant. Well I immediately called and emailed them that same day Tuesday and she said the bid was wrong and she would send a new one that was less but they could go out the next which now would be Thursday. I’ve spent the last 4 days trying to call, email, and text them and each day they said they would go out the next day. After 4 days they have now told me I will have to wait another week! If I had known that I wouldn’t have wasted 4 days with this disorganized company!

They’re professional, safe (wore their masks and gloves), courteous and their work is awesome! My house has never looked so good!!! My windows look amazing and all the dirt and grime on my house is gone!! It was a very warm day but I didn’t feel like they wanted to just get the job done and leave. Comment: I needed an ASAP exterior wash and window cleaning of my 1400 sq ft Craftsman house prior an appraisal inspection. Jack answered my estimate request within 20 min after I messaged him on Yelp and was able to give me an in-person estimate within 2.5 hours. The estimate was on the lower end of the other bids I received, not the cheapest but best value given Jack’s professionalism and politeness.He was able to do the job the following day, a Saturday, stating that if no one in his crew could do it he would do the job himself. And he did, on time as expected.The job itself was excellent. He was able to address my concerns over paint chipping. The house is now sparkling, amazing given I haven’t cleaned the exterior in 5 years. After the cleaning he even kindly offered to help move patio and deck furniture back to their original places—which I declined, it was already lunchtime and I really didn’t think moving furniture was part of the deal... but the sentiment was much appreciated!Overall excellent service!

Comment: I called to arrange window cleaning, an estimate was made based on the square footage of our house, and there were no additional charges when they completed the job. They provided an estimate for just the exterior windows, and then an additional estimate for if I wanted the interior of the windows cleaned too. The prices seemed fair. The appointment was set for a week or so out, and jack arrived on time, with a text to indicate that he was on his way, and an email a couple days prior, confirming the appointment and the quote.Jack was friendly, personable and professional. He was unobtrusive and the windows which had not been cleaned in years looked great. We have very old windows and I mentioned that they don’t seal well, and Jack was gentle and never sprayed or hosed anything down to where water would have leaked in. Almost all of our windows are paned, and we have 5 French doors, so the job mandated a lot of attention to detail. Once the exterior was completed, we decided to move forward with the interior cleaning. Jack left to go give an estimate and he came right back and finished the job. I would hire Big Wave Windows again and found their work to be superior! Don’t waste your other time with other local window washing companies.
