Comment: I found Maya & Company about a year back to get alterations on a wedding guest dress I had and was so happy with the results, I came back for alterations on my own wedding dress shortly thereafter. It was truly the best experiencing working with Maya and the rest of the staff and they understood my requests so perfectly. They had impeccable timelines and only the highest of quality, and even switch up the options on my bustle a few times until we got it perfect. They were very clear and reasonable about pricing and walked me through all the steps to make me feel well taken care of. I felt my most beautiful, secure, and effortless on my big day and I cant thank Maya & Company more. I will be coming back for any other alterations I may need in the very near future.

Comment: Maya and her team are among the kindest, best people I worked with for my wedding. I brought them a MillaNova dress from Viero Bridal in Pasadena that needed quite a bit of work to fit my vision - top alterations, taking in the waist, hem and bustle, etc. and I wanted custom sleeves. Through my many fittings, Maya and her team were always professional and kind, and above all were creative and solution oriented. Any issue I had or problem we ran into, Maya was equipped to solve it. The alterations were quite expensive, but I wouldn’t trust anyone else to do what Maya did to my dress. Thank you, Maya and team, for bringing my vision to life! I felt like an absolute dream on my wedding day, thanks to you.

Comment: Does an incredible job, is kind, quick- she’s a real tailor. She understands fabric and how to work with all materials, not just someone who can make a quick seam with a sewing machine, she’s an artist! I’ve been looking for someone like her, with wonderful quality for so many years!!!

Comment: Maya did a fabulous job on my wedding gown and on super short notice! From the time of my initial phone call, to consult and fitting, to pickup, was about ten days. There was an extra fee for the rush but the prices were very fair in my opinion. The dress fit like a glove and I’m very happy with Mayas work.

Comment: Maya and the ladies that work with her were all kind and professional each time I come in for fitting of my wedding dress. They made my dress fit me just right and they got the job done quickly. I think what they charge for their services is fair for how well and quick they did their job. They are also great with answering any questions over the phone and their online appointment system is very easy to use. I had a great experience and recommend them if youre looking for alteration services!

Comment: Communication was not good. Dresses were ready three weeks later than discussed. I brought the heels to wear with my dress to the fitting and the hem was too long so I ruined the bottom dress. The other dress I had altered didn’t fit nicely. Way too expensive for what I got, almost $300 for two dresses to not fit me. Would not recommend.

Comment: Had such a great experience working with Maya’s team. I had them do a standard alteration with some pants (perfectly done on first try) and then I asked for a very unusual request for a shirt related to Sensory Processing Disorder. I was not expecting the shirt to go well since it was a difficult alteration that they had never been asked to do before. Well, total home run on that as well which is a game changer for me. They clearly took on the challenge and went well beyond my expectations. HIGHLY recommend their services.I’ll be bringing back more shirts and anything else for which I need alternations or tailoring services.Thank you 🙏🏻

Comment: I needed a pillow cover made. Maya & Company were responsive by phone and e-mail. They were able to complete the job before Christmas, which I very much appreciated. Work is detailed and professional, and also reasonably priced. Staff was friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back with other sewing projects in 2022. Thank you, Maya & Company!!

Comment: Definitely the master of her craft, I had vintage piece that needed some alteration. Other places wouldnt even dare to touch and results were amazing, I couldnt even tell where stitches were original and where they were redone. Thumbs up!

Comment: I had a 2 inch hole in my jeans that I was trying to get stitched up. The lady told me 15 dollars over the phone but when I got there she told me it would cost over $50 dollars. They dont even have a real store and are working out of there garage. I took it to another place down the street and they charged me $5.

Comment: I brought in 4 recently bought t-shirts to have the sleeves shortened and slightly taken in. I was wearing a shirt which had the sleeves shortened exactly as I liked it, and exactly as how I requested Maya to duplicate. She immediately asked me to remove my shirt so she could use that shirt as a guide. This was odd, because every other shirt where i have had the sleeves shortened and slightly taken in were each individually measured AND pinned. Maya insisted on using the shirt I had on as a guide for the shirts I was asking her to alternate. I explained to her, more than once, that EACH shirt had to be individually measured and pinned to alternate. She said she would do this.When I picked up the 4 shirts all were done exactly the same even though all shirts were from different manufacturers and thus each fit me differently. Long story short, all 4 shirts were ruined and now unwearable. When I complained, Maya and her assistant chose to escape in their native tongue, deny the shirts were unacceptalbe and demand payment. I threw down some money, and left with my 4 ruined shirts. Thinking back,I should have never left any payment. She ruined my shirts, and she still demanded payment.I would NEVER recommend her tailoring to anyone I knew. In fact, 2 friends wanted her name to take care of their alterations. When I told them what went down, they went looking somewhere else. Over the years, I have had hundreds of items tailored...from suits to shorts to shirts with great results. Clearly, Maya is not as talented as she believes she is and she had zero customer service skills.Beware!!!
